Akery Shoves Into Okin

Kevin Andriamahefa raised to 2,800 and Peter Akery three-bet to 9,200 in the small blind, which Brian Okin called and Andriamahefa folded. The flop fell     and Akery continued for 12,000, Okin called and the duo headed to the   turn. Akery's second bet was worth 26,500 and Okin raised it up to 60,000.

Akery moved all in and Okin asked for the amount. The shove of the Brit was for another 80,200 on top of Okin's raise, and that ultimately proved to be too much for Okin as he sent the cards into the muck just before the end of the level.

Waltermann Sends One Home

Gregor Waltermann

With a massive pot of about 75,000 already brewing and the board reading     , one player got what looked to be his last 50,000 chips into the middle against Gregor Waltermann, who had him covered.

Waltermann:

Waltermann had the lead with his flopped set of threes, but his opponent could catch up on the river if his open-ended straight or flush draw completed. The   changed nothing, and Waltermann took the pot to send his opponent to the rail, putting his stack above the 400,000-chip mark.

Matusow Doubles One Up

Mike Matusow

On a board showing     , Mike Matusow faced an all-in bet from Bradley Hinson for 21,200 with roughly 20,000 already in the pot. Matusow was thinking about his decision, as a call represented about one-fifth of his remaining stack. Eventually, he put in the chips to call, and the hands were tabled.

Matusow:
Hinson:

Matusow was behind but had outs to a straight, trips, or two pair. The river   was not what Matusow needed, though, and that gave Hinson the double-up with his pocket aces.

Anderson More Than Doubles

The board was already complete, and the player in the big blind bet 20,000 on the river of a       board. Calvin Anderson called all in for 15,500, and a third player in the hand went into the tank. The floor staff was called over, and Anderson was throwing around some words while the clock was called on the other player. Half a minute ran down, and the hand was declared dead.

Anderson turned over his   , and the big blind wanted to muck his cards, but Anderson insisted it to be tabled as per the all-in rules. The    was exposed, and Anderson more than doubled as a result of the hand. He then complained about both of his opponents whispering to the nearby rail during the hand before the floor staff calmed the situation down, and play carried on.
