Event #68: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em MAIN EVENT - World Championship

Cliff Josephy raises to 2,500,000 on the button and Gordon Vayo calls out of the small blind. Qui Nguyen three-bets to 7,700,000 out of the big blind. Josephy and Vayo both call.

They are three-handed to a flop of     and Vayo checks. Nguyen bets 9,900,000 and Josephy takes about a minute of deliberation before calling. Vayo calls as well and there is over 53 million in the pot as all three players head to the   turn card.

Vayo checks and Nguyen checks as well. Josephy bets 21,000,000. Vayo takes a couple minutes of deliberation of his own before moving all in for 75,100,000.

Nguyen quickly folds and Josephy calls. There is over 203 million in the pot and the cards are tabled.

"It's set over set," says Jack Effel over the microphone to the crowd.

Vayo shows    and has Josephy's    drawing to one out.

The river is the   and Vayo doubles up. Vayo takes the chip lead and Josephy becomes the short stack.

Qui Nguyen raises to 2,700,000 on the button and Cliff Josephy three-bets to 8,500,000 out of the small blind. Gordon Vayo folds his big blind and Nguyen four-bets to 20,900,000. Josephy immediately moves all in for 49,800,000.

Nguyen gets a count from the dealer and calls.

Josephy shows    and is dominating Nguyen's   .

"Cliff is a big favorite right here," says Jack Effel over the microphone. "Qui is going to have to get lucky."

The flop is     and Josephy flops top two pair to leaving Nguyen drawing to runners. Josephy's rail erupts and begins chanting for a red card on the turn.

The turn is the   and Nguyen is drawing dead to the   river card. The crowd goes crazy and Josephy doubles up.

The 2016 World Series of Poker Main Event is down to it's final three players and cards get back in the air to play down to a winner today at 5:30 p.m.

The day started with five players and it was Qui Nguyen's continued dominance over the final table highlighting the day's action. He comes into the final day of play with a massive chip lead over Gordon Vayo and Cliff Josephy. Nguyen starts the final day of action with 197,600,000, while Vayo is second in chips with 89,000,000 and Josephy is the short stack with 50,000,000.

Before this final table, Nguyen's largest cash of his career was for $9,029 in a $1,500 no-limit hold'em event at the 2009 WSOP. But after dominating the first two day's of this final table, Nguyen has locked up a cash of at least $3,453,035.

Everybody is guaranteed over $3.4 million, but the pay jumps only get steeper for the tournament's final day of action. Second place earns $4,661,228 and the winner takes home $8,005,310, along with the most coveted bracelet of the series.

Outside of Nguyen's dominance, Vayo made the most noise during yesterday's action. Vayo flopped a set on Vojtech Ruzicka and allowed Ruzicka to fire all three streets and jam the river with ace-high. Vayo doubled up to over 100 million and he was able to tread water with the rest of the day.

Ruzicka was eliminated in fifth place on the very next hand and play continued for a couple hours before Michael Ruane hit the rail in fourth place. Ruzicka took home $1,935,288 and Ruane earned $2,576,003. Complete results for the event can be found in the "Results" tab above.

Two days ago, Josephy came into the day as the chip leader, but consistently came out on the wrong end of pots against Nguyen to come into Day 10 as the short stack.
