Richard St. Peter finishes in 4th place

Sean Shah raises on the button, making it 400,000 to go. Ryan Laplante raises the pot to 1,180,000 from the small blind, and Richard St. Peter moves all in for around 1,900,000. Shah folds and Laplante quickly calls.

Ryan Laplante announces a pot bet in the small blind, and Richard St. Peter quickly moves his 570,000 in chips into the middle in the big blind.

The   turn gives St. Peter even more outs, but Laplante's jacks still lead.

Richard St. Peter limps in from under the gun. Tesfaldet Tekle raises the pot to 540,000 with 60,000 behind and the blinds fold. St. Peter asks his opponent for the stack behind, then spends some more time in the tank. After three minutes, St. Peter announces "I raise the pot" and Tekle quickly calls.

The     flop gives St. Peter a gutshot and he gets a second gutshot on the   turn. However, the blank   river fails to improve St. Peter and Tekle doubles up.

Richard St. Peter Relieved After Doubling Up

Richard St. Peter raises to 420,000 from under the gun, and Tesfaldet Tekle shoves all in for around 960,000. St. Peter quickly calls for less.

The flop comes    , giving Tekle a set of kings, but also giving St. Peter a flush draw, and a gutshot straight draw. 

The   turn brings in the flush for St. Peter, and his rail explodes in cheers. 

The   river does not help Tekle, and St. Peter will double up.

Action folds around to Ryan Laplante and he raises the pot to 360,000. Richard St. Peter folds.

The next hand, St. Peter raises to 360,000 out of the small blind and Tesfaldet Tekle folds.

The very next hand, action folds to St. Peter and he asks "how much can I make it?" Then he raises the pot to 420,000. Both players in the blinds fold.

On the following hand, St. Peter limps in from under the gun and Sean Shah completes in the small blind. Laplante checks his option in the big blind. On the     flop, all three players check. After the   turn, Shah bets 300,000 and Laplante folds. St. Peter folds as well, flashing the  .

The next hand, St. Peter gets a walk.

Sean Shah is the chip leader with four remaining and has extended his lead without much of a contest over the last few hands.

On the first hand, Tesfaldet Tekle opens to 265,000 and Shah bets the pot, making it 975,000. Tekle folds.

On the next hand, Shah opens to 250,000 and Richard St. Peter calls. The flop comes     and St. Peter checks. Shah bets 500,000 and takes down the pot.

Two hands later, Tekle limps the button and Shah calls from the small blind. Ryan Laplante checks his option.

The flop comes     and the action checks to Tekle. He bets 225,000 and Shah raises to 700,000. Tekle and Laplante fold.

Tesfaldet Tekle raises to 200,000 on the button.  Sean Shah calls in the small blind, and Ryan Laplante puts a chip on top of his cards, pauses for a moment, but then releases his cards into the muck.

The flop comes    . Shah checks, Tekle bets 325,000, and Shah raises to 865,000. Tekle looks at his cards, raises his eyebrows, and slowly slides his cards forward into the muck.

Ryan Laplante Studies the Board

Tesfaldet Tekle is first to act and raises to 240,000. Action folds to Ryan Laplante, who raises to 820,000 out of the small blind. The big blind folds, as does Tekle.

One hand later, Tekle receives a walk.

On the next hand, Laplante raises to 240,000 from under the gun and Sean Shah calls in the big blind. On the     flop, both players check. They check again on the   turn. On the   river, Shah bets 280,000 and Laplante (pictured above) studies the board. After two minutes, Laplante folds.

One hand later, Laplante limps from the button and St. Peter completes from the small blind. Tesfaldet Tekle checks his option in the big blind and the flop comes    . Action checks around to Laplante, who bets 140,000. St. Peter announces a raise for the pot to 720,000, leaving himself very little behind. Tekle quickly folds, and Laplante also folds.
