In the span of three hands, Matthew Tyler has surged to the top of the counts, and he's now sitting with more than twice as many chips as his nearest challenger.

In the first hand, the button player moves all in for about 65,000 with   , and Tyler puts him at risk with the dominated   . The board runs out      , though, giving Tyler the win with aces and jacks. That pot earns him a knockout and a chip increase to more than 250,000.

In the next hand, Shaun Harris opens with an under-the-gun raise, and Tyler three-bets to 40,000 next to act. Harris calls. The flop is    , and Harris checks. Tyler moves all in for his opponent's effective stack of about 73,000, and Harris calls to put himself at risk. The latter is well ahead as the cards are shown down.

In the last hand of the series, Tyler gets his money in with ace-king against an opponent's ace-jack. This time it's Whitney Langwell at risk, and Tyler's dominating hand holds to secure his third consecutive knockout. Langwell is celebrating her birthday today, and she earns a small pay bump for her 54th-place finish here in Event #1.
