Andy Spears recently doubled up through Raney Stanszak.

According to Stanszak, Spears raised preflop. Stanszak and Eric Thompson called. The flop came    . Spears bet, and both other players called. The turn was the  . It checked to Stanszak, and he bet 2,100. Both other players called. The river was the  , and Spears shipped all in. Stanszak reported that Spears only had about 4,500 left, and Stanszak called.

The board is     and Doug Carli is in a heads-up pot in the big blind against Andrew Robinson in the cutoff. Carli leads for 1,700. Robinson calls.

The dealer burns and turns the   on the turn and Carli leads again for 2,100. Robinson quickly plops in a stack of orange 1,000 chips topped with a single purple 500 chip and Carli now faces a raise totaling 7,500. He thinks for a few seconds before he sends his cards to the muck. Robinson wins the pot.

At-large qualifier Cody Pack limps from under the gun, and Harrah's Atlantic City Casino Champion John Jones raises to 700 from his immediate left. All other players fold, and Pack calls.

The flop comes    , and Pack checks. Jones continues for 800, and Pack calls again. The turn is the  , and Pack now leads out for 2,300. Jones calls, bringing the   on the river.

Pack bets 4,275. Jones thinks for a minute, then raises to 11,000. Pack also thinks for a minute, and three-bets all in. Jones goes into the tank. He decides to call, and the players turn up their cards:

Pack wins the pot with his set. The dealer counts down his stack, and he has 32,800. Pack has less than that, and he is eliminated from the tournament.

According to tablemate Jesse Wilke, Allen "Chainsaw" Kessler got all in on a king-high flop holding    against the pocket aces of Ryan Jones. The board ran out not help to Kessler and he busted midway through Level 3.

After a limp, Troy Thornton raises to 700 from the small blind, and at-large qualifier Gregory Mayer three-bets to 1,600 from the big blind. The limper folds, and Thornton calls.

The flop comes    , and Thornton checks. Mayer continues for 1,300, and Thornton check-raises to 3,000. Mayer calls, and the dealer turns the  . Thornton bets another 3,000, and Mayer calls again. The river is the  , and both players check.

Thornton shows   , and the dealer announces, "kings and treys." Mayer mucks his cards, and Thornton takes the pot.

Gevork Kasabyan, who won the Main Event at the Bike, raises to 550 from the cutoff. It's on Ryan Jones in the small blind and he three bets making it 1,700 to go. The big blind folds and it's back on Kasabyan. He calls and they're heads up to the flop.

Both players check the     board.

Jones checks again when the turn reveals the  . Kasabyan bets 2,000. Jones calls.

The river completes the board with the   and both players check. Jones tables first showing    for a pair of eights. Kasabyan shows him the bad news flipping over    for a pair of queens that is good enough to win the pot.

Mohammed Moeini limps from under the gun. Alex Masek calls from the small blind, and Woody Moore checks his option in the big blind.

The flop comes    . Masek and Moore both check, and Moeini bets 400. Only Masek calls.

The turn is the  , and Masek now leads out for 700. Moeini quickly raises to 2,800, and Masek goes into the tank. After thinking for about two minutes, he folds, and Moeini takes the pot.

In a three-handed pot, the flop reads    . Austin Buchanan is in the small blind and checks. Justin Liberto checks as well and it's on the season's only two-time Casino Champion Scott Stewart in middle position. Stewart bets 1,050 sending it back to Buchanan. Buchanan announces "28 hundred" and slides three orange 1,000 chips in the pot. Liberto folds and Stewart calls.

The turn is the   and Buchanan leads for 4,600. Stewart calls and they see the river.

Buchanan doesn't slow down, leading out for 11,000 on the  . After a minute or so, Stewart calls and sees the bad news. Buchanan tables    for a queen-high flush. Stewart's cards hit the muck and Buchanan wins the pot. The hand leaves Stewart with 3,000 chips while Buchanan contends for the early chip lead.

The flop comes    , and Monnette continues for 500. Mulvania calls, and the dealer turns the  . Monnette checks this time, and Mulvania bets 900. Monnette folds, and Mulvania takes the pot.

Horseshoe Hammond Main Event champion Rob Coventry opens the pot for 400 from late position and Justin Kruger calls from the button. Josh Reichard is in the small blind and three bets to 1,650. Coventry calls and Kruger folds. Reichard and Coventry are heads up.

The dealer reveals a     flop. Reichard leads for 1,850. Coventry promptly pops it to 5,000. Reichard calls.

The turn is the  . Reichard checks. Coventry keeps the pressure on, betting out 8,000. Reichard folds after a few minutes in the tank and Coventry takes the pot.

Foxwoods Casino Champion Brad St. Vincent opens the action from late position for 375. POY qualifier Roland Israelashvili calls from the small blind and Sean Troha folds the big blind.

St. Vincent and Israelashvili see a flop of    . Israelashvili leads for 400. St. Vincent calls and it's off to the turn.

Israelashvili leads again, this time for 600, when fourth street brings the  . St. Vincent calls.

The board completes with the  . Israelashvili sloppily plops a bet of 2,175 in the pot. St. Vincent calls and Israelashvili shows    for a straight. St. Vincent shows    for a set. Israelashvili wins the pot.

The board reads      and Michelle Chin, who earlier this season became the first female Circuit Main Event champion, is in the small blind with a bet of 750 in front of her. Action is on POY qualifier Shannon Shorr on the button and he calls. They head to the river.

The   elicits a bet of 1,600 out of Chin. Shorr wastes little time folding. Chin takes the pot and now sits comfortably above the 30,000-chip starting stack.

At one table here at the National Championship, two record holders are seated side-by-side.

Alex Masek (pictured left) is the career leader in WSOP Circuit Rings, with eight. He just barely missed out on adding a ninth near the end of this Circuit season. He finished runner-up to Cory Waaland in the six-max event at Harrah's New Orleans.

Woody Moore (pictured right) sits to his direct left. Moore is the only player in WSOP Circuit history to qualify for the National Championship every year it's been held. This year, he earned Casino Champion honors at Horseshoe Southern Indiana to early in the season to punch his ticket back here once again.

Early in Level 2, Moore has 33,500 in chips, and Masek has about 28,000 in front of him.

He three-bets, making it 1,050 to go. The button and blinds fold while Mulvania and Conrad call. They are three handed to the flop.

The dealer burns and turns a     board. All three players check.

Fourth street is the  . Mulvania checks and Conrad bets 1,550. Csik calls. Mulvania folds and Conrad and Csik are heads up to the river.

Fifth street comes the   and Conrad leads out for 3,200. Csik sits still for a few seconds before shooting a glance over to Conrad. Csik folds    face up and Conrad takes the pot.
