The falls on the river, and before Fishberg acts, the player on the button acts out of turn and bets 5,000. Fishberg follows with a check, meaning the button's bet stands, and then Fishberg quickly calls, tabling for a flush. His opponent held and Fishberg scoops an early pot.

The board is in a three-handed pot between the small blind, Cate Hall in the big blind and a middle-position player. The small blind checks. Cate Hall announces, "Twenty-nine hundred," and slides three 1,000 chips into a pot of 3,675. The late-position player gets out of the way. It's back on the small blind and he takes about two minutes to make a painstaking fold. Hall drags the pot.

Players have a maximum of four bullets to use over the course of the two starting flights, but a handful of players have chosen to begin their Main Event today with just two bullets in the chamber.
Former ring winners Darryll Fish and Lee Childs are among those working on their first entry this morning. Brian Breen and Phil Hernz both joined the ring-wearing club during this stop in Baltimore, and both are new entries into the Main Event field, as well. Cate Hall cashed twice at the previous Circuit stop at Foxwoods and once here at the Horseshoe, and she too has joined the Day 1B field as a new entry.
