The player under the gun plus one raises to 1,000, then another player in middle position calls. Jaime Staples is seated to his immediate left and bumps it up to 3,800. The action folds back around to the original raiser, who moves all in over the top for 7,850 in chips. The next player folds and Staples calls.

It's been a hard-fought, mostly short-stacked day for Mike Sowers, but the tides are starting to turn in his favor as he survives deeper into the night.

In the most recent pot, Sowers opens to 1,000 in early position, and Perry Rousez defends his big blind. The flop comes    , and Rousez checks. When Sowers bets 1,100, Rousez check-raises to 3,200. Sowers calls.

The turn is the  , and Rousez leads out for 2,200. Sowers raises to 8,200, and Rousez tanks and folds, giving Sowers the pot.

Facing two limps and a complete from the small blind, Steve Gee bumps it up from the big blind to 1,700. Both limpers call, then the small blind folds and the dealer spreads a     flop.

All three players check, then the   lands on the turn and Gee bets out 2,200. The first limper folds, but the second calls from the hijack. The   completes the board on the river.

Gee checks, his opponent bets 5,100, and Gee folds.

Since the beginning of the day, it's been clear that Mark Radoja has been the most active and aggressive player at his table. With the exception of a small dip he took in the second level of play, that strategy has worked for him, as he has steadily built or maintained his chip stack all day long. This small hand gives an insight into Radoja's game:

Action folds to Radoja, who bumps it up to 925. It folds around to the big blind, who calls the raise. The flop comes down    , and after the big blind checks, Radoja immediately bets 1,100. The big blind shakes his head, mumbles something about Radoja running him over or always having it, and sends his cards in. Radoja simply smiles as he rakes in yet another pot to up his stack just a bit more.

The flop is     and Edgard Cabacas, who has already committed 4,000 chips postflop, is facing a raise to 15,000 total from his one opponent in the hand. After a short amount of thought, Cabacas announces that he is all in and his opponent quickly calls.

Both players have hit trip jacks, but Cabacas also pairs his kicker to give him a full house, jacks full of kings. The table moans for his opponent, who has the misfortune of hitting big, but it not being good enough. He needs an ace to avoid doubling up. The all-in player does not find it on the   turn or   river and he is eliminated.

With the board showing       and nearly 30,000 in the pot already, Ashton Griffin leads out for a bet of 18,000 from the blinds.

His opponent, who is on the button, peers around a few players to get a better view at Griffin's stack and makes a face when he realizes that Griffin only has a few thousand chips behind.

Regardless of Griffin's remaining stack, he calls, only to see Griffin turn over    for flopped trips to take the pot.

The flop comes     and Black check-calls a bet of 1,050. They check the turn after it comes   and check the river   as well. When Black sees his opponent's    he says, "King." and tables    for a winning pair to take the pot.

The button raises to 800. Adam Sadick reraises to 2,200 from the small blind, and the big blind folds. The button reraises to 5,200 and Sadick calls.

The flop comes    . Sadick bets 3,500 and his opponent calls.

Sadick bets 7,500 and, after taking a minute to think about it, his opponent calls.

Sadick shows    for a straight. After seeing the rivered straight, his opponent takes one card at a time and tosses them into the muck.

Damian Salas raises to 1,000 from the cutoff. Keith Johnson calls from the small blind, and the big blind also calls.

The flop falls    . Johnson checks and so does the big blind. Salas looks at his cards then bets 1,200. Johnson calls and the big blind folds.

The turn is the  . Johnson checks and Salas bets 3,000. Johnson looks at the board and plays with his chips before calling.

The river is the  . Johnson checks. Salas bets 8,000, leaving himself with just 15,000 in his stack.

Johnson tanks. He says, "You raised so small on the flop." Salas doesn't respond. Johnson says, "You've probably got two pair, haven't you?" Salas remains silent and Johnson looks at the board.

The dealer calls the floor, who says: "Long time?" The dealer nods. The floor asks where the action is, and turning to Johnson, he tells him he's calling the clock.

Johnson continues to tank, then picks up 8,000 in chips. He holds it in his hand, then moves his hand back and forth as if torn, before finally dropping the chips in front of him on the table to call.

Salas flips over his cards, showing   , giving him a straight. Johnson mucks his cards.

Benny Spindler opens from early position to 1,000 only to have an opponent in the cutoff three-bet to 2,500. Spindler calls and checks the     flop only to be faced with a continuation-bet of 2,500.

Spindler pauses, then calls, The turn is the   and Spindler checks over to his opponent, who bets 7,000.

Again, Spindler calls. The river is the   and Spindler checks over to his opponent, who fires out again; this time for 15,000.

After about two minutes in the tank, Spindler calls, and after he sees his opponent's    for a rivered set, he tosses his hand to the muck.

The board reads       and there is about 20,000 in the middle when Jorryt van Hoof puts Bruce Rosen all in for 33,125 total, having Rosen easily covered.

Rosen goes deep into the tank for three minutes before Van Hoof calls for a clock. Rosen is 20 seconds into his clock before he calls to put himself at risk. Van Hoof shows    for bottom pair and Rosen turns over    for a winner.

On a board reading      Sergio Castelluccio checks in the small blind and the big blind bets out 3,200. Castelluccio shoves all in and his opponent asks for a count.

There is some confusion regarding the total of the all in after the dealer takes the 3,200 out. The staff eventually determines the total shove amount is 11,550, or 8,350 on top of the 3,200, the opponent looks at Castelluccio and says, "I have one hell of a draw. And I am Asian too!"

He thinks for a few more seconds, then calls.

Castelluccio shows    for top pair and his opponent shows    for a flush draw and a straight draw.

Fortunately for Castelluccio the river is the   giving him the full double.

John Kim opens to 900 in early position, and 3bet Clothing owner Daniel Spring calls on the button. Jeremy Ausmus defends his big blind too, so it's three-handed to the flop.

It comes    , and Ausmus checks. Kim bets 1,300, Spring raises to 3,100, and Ausmus folds out of the way. Kim calls the raise, and the turn brings the  . Kim checks, then calls another 5,000 from Spring. Both players check through the   river.

With the board reading    , the small blind checks and a player under the gun bets 3,500. Tony Ma calls and the small blind then check-raises to 11,300. The under the gun player goes into the tank for some time before folding, and Ma asks the small blind how much he was playing before very quickly moving all in. The small blind called just as quickly, and cards are tabled:

Ma's flopped set soon turns into quads as the   comes on the turn, leaving his opponent drawing dead. The meaningless   hit the river to complete the board, and Ma rakes in the pot to move up to 88,000, whilst his opponent takes his leave out of a side door.

Chris Herrin moves all in from under the gun for 3,375 and a player in early position calls. After a couple of folds, James Calderaro goes into the tank, before moving all in for 6,375. The player in early position calls the additional 3,000 and all three hands are tabled.
