George Danzer has a top five stack
The remaining 61 players will return at 2pm PDT today to contest Day 2 of Event #67: $10,000 Dealers Choice Championship. A total of 108 players entered this inaugural Championship event and Matthew Ashton leads the way today after he bagged up 152,700. The Liverpool, England man was runner-up to Daniel Negreanu in the 2013 WSOP Player of the Year race and is no stranger to closing out big mixed game tournaments, proven by his Poker Player Championship win that same year.
Thinking about a win, and the $319,792 that comes with it, is a long way off for Ashton though, and any of the other returning players. Making the top 12 for a min cash ($21,908) is on the horizon and is a more realistic target for today. Ten one-hour levels are scheduled for today, so that bubble could well burst during the latter stages of play.
