Quoss check calls a continuation bet totaling 10,500 before the   drops on the turn. Both players check before doing the same after the   completes the board.

Quoss turns over his    for ace-high before Mizzi rolls over his    for a pair of fives and the winning hand.

Brandon Steven opens the pot with an under-the-gun raise, opening a can of worms in the process. Sam Trickett calls next door, and Isaac Baron squeezes in a three-bet. Behind him comes a four-bet, then a five-bet, and action lands on Christoph Vogelsang in the big blind. He makes the cold six-bet shove for 354,400 total. Steven and Trickett fold, but Baron makes the call for most of his own stack too. The others behind him fold, too, and Vogelang is heads-up for his tournament life.

The flop comes    , and Klodnicki continues for 10,000. Seidel calls, and the dealer turns the  . Both players check, bringing the   on the river. Klodnicki bets out for 25,500. Seidel quickly folds, and Klodnicki takes the pot.

On a flop reading    , the pot is around 50,000 and Connor Drinan is first to act. He elects to tap the table and his opponent, Andy Frankenberger, bets out 35,000. Drinan calls and the pair watch the dealer burn and turn the  .

Drinan checks again and Frankenberger fires a second bullet to the value of 50,000. This does not scare Drinan off as he calls. The river is the   and Drinan checks for a third time. Frankenberger very reluctantly checks behind and Drinan shows   , but Frankenberger has    for a set of kings.

As Frankenberger is stacking his chips, Phil Hellmuth shouts over "You have a set of kings? That river card cost you what, 100k? What would you have bet if it comes a blank? 92k?" Frankenberger just smiles ruefully.

Igor Kurganov raises to 7,500 from under the gun and is called by Scott Seiver in the hijack. Matt Hyman then raises to 25,000 from the cut off which takes Richard Fullerton by surprise. He slumps back in his chair before finally opting to fold. Kurganov and Seiver make the call before the three watch the flop come down    .

Fullerton jumps out of his chair and claps his hands once in disappointment before walking away from the table. The action the folds around to Hyman who throws out a 50,000 continuation bet. Kurganov and Seiver fold their hands before Hyman rakes in the pot.

"Sounds like you might've had nines," says James Calderaro, as Fullerton returns to his seat. Fullerton nods his head as he contemplates what might have been from that hand.

Ben Sulsky raises to 5,500 from early position, only to see Andrew Lichtenberger three-bet to 19,000 from the hijack. Action folds back around to Sulsky and he calls.

The flop is     and Sulsky taps the table. Lichtenberger puts out a bet of 18,000, which Sulsky calls.

The turn is the   and Sulsky mulls it over before leading out for a bet of 12,000. Lichtenberger twitches an eyebrow and replays the hand over in his head before calling after about 30 seconds.

The river is the   and Sulsky checks. Lichtenberger fires out a chunky bet of 60,000, and Sulsky gives it up.

Brian Hastings and Phil Ivey are heads-up on the river of a       board. Ivey is first to act from the small blind, and he leads out for 100,000 into a pot of about 175,000. Hastings considers for a good while, then raises all in with his towering stack.

Ivey has about 145,000 chips left in front of him, and he struggles with the decision. He lets his earbuds fall from his ears and tidies up his stacks so he can see what he has left. He's holding a stack of chips in his right hand, and at one point, he slams them down on the felt with a closed fist. He stares across the table at Hastings, who takes the opportunity to chat.

"Late reg is still open for the $1K," Hastings jokes. Ivey is the only one who doesn't laugh. Finally, after what must be four or five minutes in the tank, he folds.

Chris Klodnicki joined the table during the hand, and he took the opportunity to tweet about what he saw.

Griffin Paul raises to 5,500 from the hijack and Chou Chou three-bets to 18,000 from the small blind. Blake Bohn takes a minute in the tank and then cold four-bets to 50,000 out of the big blind and Paul gets out of the way.

Chou tanks for a minute and then announces he is all in and Bohn quickly throws away his hand.

Taylor Paur raises to 5,500 on the button and Justin Bonomo calls out of the small blind. Max Silver calls from the big blind and the flop is    . Action checks to Paur, who bets 8,500 and Bonomo check-raises to 30,000. Silver gets out of the way and Paur takes a moment before calling.

The turn is the   and Bonomo immediately asks to take a look at Paur's stack. Paur moves his arm and gives Bonomo a better view of how many chips he has. Bonomo takes a moment and then bets 57,000. Paur goes into the tank for a couple minutes before tossing his hand into the muck.

On the turn of a      board, three-way action begins with Ian O'Hara betting 20,000 into a pot of about 35,000. Nick Shulman calls, Zach Hyman tanks and folds, and it's heads up to the river.

It's the  , and O'Hara bets 66,000, committing more than half his remaining stack. Shulman calls fairly quickly, and O'Hara shows    to win the pot with queens full.

Both Paul Volpe and Keith Lehr commit 42,000 each on the turn before the board reads       after the river card is tabled.

Keith Lehr leads out for 75,000 in chips before Paul Volpe announces all in for his remaining 229,800 in chips. Lehr stands up from his chair as he thinks about his decision.

"You got it Paul?" asks Lehr. "So f***ing gross," he adds. A minute passes before Lehr stacks all his chips into one tower and slides it into the middle.

Volpe then turns over    for the straight which takes down the pot after Lehr's pocket jacks are rolled over by the dealer.

Sergio Castelluccio gets into a preflop battle from early position against Martin Jacobson in the hijack. Castelluccio gets his last 261,400 into the middle and the cards are tabled. Castelluccio shows    and is in great shape to double up against Jacobson's   .

"I folded ace-queen," said Phil Hellmuth before the dealer puts out any community cards.

The board runs out       and Castellucio doubles up through the defending Main Event Champion, but the conversation at the table continues.

"Did you say you folded ace-queen?" asked Connor Drinan.

"Yea, I did," replied Hellmuth.

"Why would you say that?" asked Drinan.

"Why wouldn't I say that?" asked Hellmuth.

"Because Martin is trying to have a sweat for $100,000" said Matt Stout.

Their conversation about whether or not Hellmuth was out of line continued for another few moments and then Hellmuth apologized to Jacobson if he offended him at all and the table moved on to the next hand with most of Jacobson's stack gone.

Bryn Kenney raises to 5,000 from the hijack, and Nick Petrangelo three-bets to 13,500 from the cutoff. Kenney calls, and the players see the flop heads-up.

The dealer spreads     and Kenney checks. Petrangelo continues for 12,000, and Kenney calls. The turn is the  , and Kenney checks again. Petrangelo bets 28,000, and Kenney calls. The   completes the board on the river, and Kenney checks a thrid time. Petrangelo fires again, this time for 45,000.

Kenney check-raises all in, and Petrangelo pauses to think. Kenney has Petrangelo covered, and the all-in bet is effectively for 177,000. After a couple minutes, Petrangelo calls, and Kenney turns over   . Petrangelo shows   , and he wins with aces up.
