Welcome back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and the 2015 World Series of Poker (WSOP) for Day 3 of Event #39: $1,500 Ten-Game Mix.
The 380 player field was reduced to 89 by the end of Day 1 before just nine would remain following a long battle on the green felt throughout Day 2. The likes of Daniel Negreanu (41st), Michael Gathy (36th), David Levi (33rd), Max Pescatori (32nd), Jeff Lisandro (26th), Eli Elezra (24th), Naoya Kihara (21st), Phil Hellmuth (17th), Bruno Fitoussi (12th) and Matt Glantz (10th) all found themselves on the rail before the day concluded.
Courtesy of a monster Pot-Limit Omaha hand to eliminate Glantz, Brian Hastings vaulted up to the top of the leaderboard as he bagged 651,000 in chips to be the huge chip leader over Tim Reusch (434,000) and Owais Ahmed (383,500). Todd Brunson (191,500) will be looking to capture his second WSOP bracelet following the one he won in 2005 while Eric Wasserson be looking to turn his 14th WSOP cash into his third final table and hopefully first bracelet as the final day line-up is as follows:
