The First Three

Hand #1: Masayuki Nagata raised to 60,000 from early position and received calls from Majid Yahyaei and Joseph Cappuccio. The flop came down     and all three players checked. The turn was the   and they all checked once again. The river brought the   and Cappuccio led out for 80,000. Nagata folded and Yahyaei called, showing    for a pair of tens which was good to take down the pot.

Hand #2: Masayuki Nagata opened to 60,000 from early position and the entire table folded.

Hand #3: Jason Duval raised to 50,000 from under the gun and was called by Tommy Townsend from the small blind and Nagata from the big. The flop brought     and all three players tapped thet able. The   turned and after two checks, Duval led for 85,000. Everyone folded and Duval took it down.

Tim Stickradt - 10th Place.

Tim Stickradt opened for 80,000 from the cutoff, and James Lee put him all in from the big blind. Stickradt made the call.

Stickradt was dominated by Lee's tens, and nothing changed on the     flop. The turn came  , and Stickradt needed to spike a two-outer to survive. The river was a   though, and Stickradt was the unfortunate victim of the final table bubble.

Cappuccio Doubles Again

Joseph Cappuccio open-shipped all in from early position for 294,000 and it folded around to Daniel Bishop who called out of the big blind.

Cappuccio was well ahead with his aces and continued his lead as the flop brought    . Fourth street was the   and he only needed to dodge a nine heading to the river. The dealer produced the   as the final card and Cappuccio scored a double to around 636,000. Bishop, on the other hand, has been knocked down to about 260,000.

Yahyaei Picks Off a Bluff

Tommy Townsend, in the big blind, called a raise from Majid Yahyaei in the cutoff. He check-called the flop and turn on a board of     . He then fired out 250,000 on a   river. Yahyaei thought briefly before making the call.

Townsend had bricked off his gutshot, and Yahyaei's top pair was good.

Cappuccio Doubles Through Lee

Action came around to James Lee in the small blind and he completed. Joseph Cappuccio raised all in from the big blind and Lee debated to himself for a moment before calling.

Cappuccio was way out in the lead but had a true sweat afte rthe     flop hit the felt. Lee was looking for an ace or a spade on the subsequent streets but ultimately did not find it on the turn ( ) or the river ( ). Cappuccio was able to double up and now has about 350,000 in chips.

Duval Doubles Agan

Joe Cappuccio and Jason Duval got all in preflop, though we didn't catch the exact sequence of actions.

Duval flopped a set on the     flop, and he turned Cappuccio dead with another three. Cappuccio is now by far the shortest stack as we are one elimination away from the official final table.

Zach Humphrey Eliminated in 11th Place ($30,122)

Zachary Humphrey - 11th Place.

Majid Yahyaei opened to 45,000 under the gun, and Zach Humphrey, who has been quiet so far on Day 3, shipped it from the big blind for 333,000. Yahyaei tanked for a couple of minutes before making the call.

Humphrey was behind, but he turned things around when a     flop came. An   arrived on the turn though, and Yahyaei pumped his fist as a friend on the rail began jumping up and down with excitement. He still had a card to fade though, and he did just that when the   arrived on the river.

Duval Doubles

Jason Duval shoved for 218,000 over an early-position call from Daniel Bishop. Bishop made the call.

Duval let out a fist pump as the flop came    , giving him a set. Another ten on the turn sealed his double.

Bishop Scores a Double

Action folded around to Daniel Bishop who popped it up to an unknown amount from the button. Masayuki Nagata shipped all in over the top fromt he small blind, putting Bishop all in. It folded back to Bishop and he called for his tournament life.

Bishop was way out in the lead heading to the flop and maintained the lead as the flop came    . Fourth street was the   and Bishop simply needed to dodge a five to double up. He did exactly that as the   finished off the board, forcing Nagata to ship over double up chips. Bishop is now sitting on about 675,000 to Nagata's 800,000.

Peter Nguyen Eliminated in 12th Place ($30,122)

Peter Nguyen (Day 2) - 12th Place

Dan Martin opened with a button raise to 40,000 and Peter Nguyen shipped all in from the big blind. Martin called and the hands were rolled over.

The board fell down       and Martin's tens were able to hold, sending Nguyen packing in 12th place.

TJ Cloutier Eliminated in 13th Place ($23,812)

TJ Cloutier - 13th Place.

TJ Cloutier opened for 60,000 from the cutoff, and Tommy Townsend reraised to 150,000 from the button. Cloutier immediately moved all in after the blinds folded. Townsend leaned back in his seat before calling.

The flop came    , and Cloutier seemed to be due to lose this flip after winning his last one. Hope arrived on the turn in the form of the  , giving him four additional outs. It wasn't to be, however, as the river was an  , and the tournament legend was done in 13th place.

Bartlett Doubles; Duval Folds a Straight

Stephen Bartlett got all in preflop against Dan Martin, who covered him.

The flop came    , and Bartlett went from way behind to way ahead as he flopped a set. The turn and river didn't improve Martin, and Bartlett is now over 1,000,000.

Meanwhile, Jason Duval fired out 115,000 on the river with the board reading       at the other table. Masayuki Nagata raised all in, and Duval wasted no time folding    face up. He knocked over the tower of red T5,000 chips he had bet in disgust as he tossed his cards to the muck.

William Cogan Eliminated in 14th Place ($23,812)

William Cogan (Day 2) - 14th Place

Dan Martin opened with a raise to 40,000 and action trickled around the table to William Cogan who shipped all in over the top for a little over 200,000. Martin called and the hands were turned over to find the two racing for Cogan's tournament life.

Martin took the lead by pairing his queen on the     flop. The   turned and despite the   falling on the river to give Cogan a set, Martin was able to scoop up the pot with his spade flush, eliminating Cogan in 14th place.

Martin Doubles Through Cogan

We arrived at the table to find Dan Martin all in for his tournament life against William Cogan before the flop. Fortunately for Martin, he was well ahead going to the community cards.

Cloutier Wins a Flip

Masayuki Nagata opened for a raise to 35,000 from the cutoff. TJ Cloutier shipped it from the small blind, and Nagata made the call.

Cogan's Three-Barrel Fails

Action folded around to William Cogan's small blind and he put out a raise to an unknown amount. Majid Yahyaei called out of the big blind and the two took a flop of    .

Cogan continued out for what looked like 57,000 and Yahyaei called the bet. The turn brought the   and Cogan announced 83,000 before putting the chips in the middle. Yahyaei once again called. The river was the   and Cogan moved 110,000 into the center of the table. Yahyaei wasted little time calling and Cogan showed    for merely queen-high. Yahyaei tabled    for a pair of eights and dragged in the pot.
