Tuan Vo Eliminated in 9th Place ($21,190)

Tuan Vo - 9th Place

Gavin Smith:    /     Fold
Tuan Vo:    /      /
David "Bakes" Baker:    /      /

Tuan Vo completed with the   showing only to have Gavin Smith raise with the   up. David "Bakes" Baker called, as did Vo, and it was three-way action to fourth street.

Smith checked his paired eights, Baker bet and Vo called. Smith made the call as well and then checked for a second time on fifth. This time Baker checked behind and Vo took the initiative with a bet. Smith called, Baker woke up with a check-raise and Vo reraise all in. Smith got out of the way and Baker made the call.

Vo showed two pair, but it was behind Baker's set of aces. Unfortunately for Vo, both sixth and seventh street missed him and he was eliminated in ninth place for $21,190. An impressive showing for the man from Pleasantville, New Jersey, who finished 16th in this very event last year for $11,637.

Tony Cousineau:    /      /

Mike Leah completed with the   up and both Tony Cousineau and Gavin Smith called. Cousineau took the lead on fourth with an ace and bet, which prompted Leah to fold and Smith to call. Smith then called bets on both fifth and sixth before both players checked seventh.

Cousineau tabled     for a seven-four low and pair of deuces high, and both were good as Smith sent his cards to the muck unseen.

Eric Rodawig Eliminated in 10th Place ($21,190)

Eric Rodawig - 10th Place

Eric Rodawig:    /      /
Mike Leah:    /      /

Eric Rodawig's dream of capturing this title for the second time in three years came to an end in the last hand before the break courtesy of Mike Leah.

It happened when Leah completed showing the   and Rodawig raised. Leah made the call and then bet when he paired that seven on fourth. Rodawig called off his last 17,000 and showed   , which gave him a good shot at a low. Leah showed the   .

After the board ran out, Leah received the   on seventh to make an eight-seven low to go with his pair of sevens, but it wasn't needed as Rodawig somehow missed everything and ended with king high after receiving the   on seventh. Rodawig exited in tenth place for $21,190, which is a far cry from the $442,183 he won two years ago in this event when Phil Hellmuth in heads-up play.

Baker Puts Hurting on Ashton

Matthew Ashton:    /      /
David "Bakes" Baker:    /      /

David "Bakes" Baker checked on fourth and then called when Matthew Ashton put out a bet. The latter took the lead on fifth by pairing fours, and he wasted little time in betting 24,000. Baker made the call and then bet after Ashton checked sixth. The Brit then woke up with a check-raise to 48,000, Baker called and it was off to seventh street.

Ashton bet again but he couldn't shake Baker. "Pair of fours," a resigned Ashton said before showing    . Baker then tabled the     for a pair of fives for high and an eight-seven low to scoop.

Cousineau vs. Rodawig

Eric Rodawig:    /      /
Tony Cousineau:    /      /

We picked up the action in fourth street when Eric Rodawig bet and Tony Cousineau called. That same action repeated itself on every street thereafter and the cards were tabled.

Cousineau:
Rodawig:

Cousineau had the best high with kings and nines while Rodawig took the low with an eight-six. Chop it up.

It wasn't the most exciting hand, but then again things have slowed quite a bit as the players have gotten a little deeper.

Plenty of Extras Being Given Away at This Year's WSOP

The buzz inside the walls of the Rio extends beyond just the tournaments on the 2013 World Series of Poker schedule. Online poker in Nevada is a very, very hot topic right now, and WSOP.com is making a lot of noise.

While the site has yet to launch, you can head to the Lambada Room of the Rio or look for one of the beautiful and friendly WSOP.com ladies walking the hallways to sign up for a free, personal WSOP.com online poker account. This is a great way to get a jump on the site's registration, and plenty of people have already taken this opportunity.

What's more is that the WSOP will be hosting daily raffles for everyone that has taken the time to register for WSOP.com at the Rio. What can you win? Plenty of fantastic prizes including 36 WSOP seats!

Players 21 years of age and older who sign up for a WSOP.com account will automatically be entered into the "36-Seat Giveaway" where a randomly-selected winner will win a seat into the next day's first WSOP gold bracelet event. One of the events eligible in this promotion is the $111,111 One Drop High Roller No-Limit Hold'em tournament that is expected to feature a $10,000,000 prize pool and allow you to play poker with the biggest names in the game. In total, $182,333 in WSOP seats, including a seat to the WSOP Main Event, are being given away during this one-of-a-kind WSOP.com promotion.

In addition to the 36-Seat Giveaway, a "Hot Seat" promotion will allow any player who signs up for a WSOP.com online account and wears their WSOP.com patch on their chest at the table while playing an event to be randomly selected to receive 500 bonus dollars deposited directly into their WSOP.com online account once the site has received all regulatory approvals and launches.

With 62 WSOP gold bracelet events and three winners promised for the Main Event, this promotion includes $32,000 worth of value to those participating.

Richard Chiovari:    /      /
Yuval Bronshtein:    /    Fold

Mike "The Mouth" Matusow limped after another player had brought it in, and Richard Chiovari completed with the   showing. Yuval Bronshtein made the call, as did Matusow, and three players went to fourth street.

Bronshtein was first to act and checked, opening the door for Matusow to bet. Chiovari responded with a raise, Bronshtein folded and Matusow made the call. "The Mouth" then checked fifth, Chiovari bet and Matusow raise. Chiovari only had 4,000 behind and called off.

Chiovari got it in good as far as the low was concerned, but sixth street reversed it as it gave Matusow a better low and Chiovari the high with a pair of fives. Chiovari failed to improve on seventh, while Matusow caught a five to make a wheel and eliminated his opponent.

"I made a wheel and he had two fives in his hand," a smiling Matusow boasted about his good luck.
