Cutting Into Flack's Stack

A middle position player raised and got a caller one seat over, then Layne Flack reraised. It folded back around and the original raiser bumped it up again to 3,150, the first caller folded, and Flack stuck around.

The flop came and Flack's opponent again bet 3,150. Flack quickly called. The turn was the and after a pause the original raiser checked, and Flack immediately patted the felt with an open palm.

The river was the . This time Flack's opponent pushed out a bet of 5,050, and Flack called instantly. Flack's opponent showed for a set of aces, and Flack tossed his cards into the muck.

Rivered Boat = Lots Mo' Fo' Ho

Maria Ho

Maria Ho opened for 700 from middle position and action folded around to the big blind, who made the call.

The flop came and Ho's opponent checked - prompting a 750 c-bet from Ho. Her opponent responded by check-raising to 1,850. Ho thought it over and made the call.

The turn brought the and Ho's opponent continued his aggression and fired 3,025 into the middle. Undeterred, Ho again called.

The completed the board and the player in the big fired one last time for 8,000. Ho paused, and then raised to 19,400 total. Her opponent immediately announced, "Call," and Ho tabled for a rivered tens-full of deuces. Her opponent revealed that he had the for an inferior full house and mucked.

Ho has been on quite a roll this past level - she is up to 90,000.

Seiver Tank-Jams

We caught up to the action to see a board of . Scott Seiver was heads up in the hand with about 5,000 in the pot. Seiver led out for 4,000 and his opponent tanked for well over two minutes. Eventually, his opponent announced a raise and tossed 11,000 into the middle.

Seiver tanked back for about ninety-second before announcing that he was all in. It was actually Sevier's opponent's tournament life that would have been at risk had there been a call. Seiver's opponent folded, however, and Seiver is now sitting at 49,500 in chips.

"Should Have Gone Broke"

A player raised from middle position and made it 700 to see a flop and Matt Vengrin called from late position. The Big blind also came along for the ride and we had three to the flop. The flop came and the big blind checked. Next it was on to the middle position player who bet out 1,150. Matt Vengrin made the call and the big blind folded.

The on the turn saw another bet from Vengrin's opponent, this time for 2,850. Again Vengrin called and the dealer felled the last card, the . It was here that the middle position player bet out 4,200. After a few moments of thinking Vengrin made the call.

The middle position player flipped over and Vengrin commented "I should have gone broke", but alas Vengrin sits with around 17,000.

Double for Boatman

Barny Boatman

We don't know exactly how the action went, but from what we were told this is what happened.

The board read and Barny Boatman moved all in. Boatman's opponent took a considerable amount of time thinking about calling, so long in fact that the clock was called. Eventually Boatman's opponent made the call and flipped over for a full house twos over aces. Boatman countered by flipping for a superior full house and took down the pot.

Thoennes Takes Hit, Still Strong

Mark Thoennes has had a good afternoon thus far, having chipped up over the 90,000 mark by the middle of Level 3. He just took a small hit in a three-way all-in situation, but still sits with a healthy stack as we move into the last half-hour before dinner.

We came upon the hand with Thoennes contemplating calling two all-in reraises by short-stacked opponents, then finally deciding to do so. One had , the other , and Thoennes . The board came nine-high — — leaving one player on the rail, another surviving, and Thoennes giving up a few from his big stack.

Raymer Sent To The Rail

Greg Raymer

Greg Raymer opened to 700 from the cutoff seat and Gaeton DiMaria called on the button. Action then folded over the player in the big blind, who squeezed to 2,200 total. Raymer then pushed all in for his last 13,000. DiMaria also pushed all in for about 60,000 and the player in the big called all in for his remaining stack.

The board kept the player with pocket queens in front and he nearly tripled up - eliminating Raymer in the process.

Perelman Sets One Up

After the under-the-gun player opened to 650 and a middle-position player three bet to 3,000, Rob Perelman called from the big blind. The original raiser folded and the flop came down .

Perelman check-called a bet of 3,500 from his opponent and both players checked the turn card. Perelman bet 2,200 on the river, his opponent called, and Perelman table for a set of kings.

His opponent mucked and Perelman took down the pot.

Hall Gets a Few From Lunkin

The river brought the and Hall checked. Lunkin checked behind and Hall disgustedly tossed faceup for nines-full of fives and scooped the pot. Lunkin revealed he had the and mucked.
