Uri Reichenstein Eliminates Martin Finger

There are 166 players left and Martin Finger is not one of them. Finger is one of Germany's hottest poker prospects with over $1 million in earnings in a short 2-year career. Finger's greatest achievement to date came when he won a European Poker Tour (EPT) title in the same year his countryman Pius Heinz took down the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event.

Finger has just lost all of his chips to another German, Uri Reichenstein, who has had a great morning thus far. We didn't see the pre flop action but know that Finger was all-in holding and Reichenstein was all-in holding . The board ran out and Finger was out. Reichenstein takes the moving feast of a chip lead with 166,000.

Tikhonov Takes Hit

We don't know exactly how the action went, but we do know after a series of raises Sergey Tikhonov put his opponent all in. Tikhonov's opponent made the call and was at risk.

Cards were flipped over and Tikhonov was in bad shape as his wasn't exactly on an even level with his opponent's . The board fell and Tikhonov shipped over 10,000 for his opponent's double up.

One of the players jokingly made accusations of collusion, but Tikhonov ignored them completely focused on the game at hand.

Eames Moves From 5k to 50k

John Eames has just managed to create a wonderful little spin up from himself. He found himself down to 5,000 when he won three consecutive all-ins - v , v & then finally v - and now has 50,000 chips.

Kyle Fleishman Wins a 150k Pot

We just witnessed a 150,000 pot between Andreas Heissenberger and Kyle Fleishman. We caught the action with Fleishman having moved all-in as a four-bet and Heissenberger pondering the 75,000 question that had been posed to him. In the end Heissenberger was struck by some inspiration and said, "I think you're bluffing…I call."

Fleishman - who wasn't bluffing - turned over and Heissenberger turned over . The board ran out and Fleishman had pumped his stack up to 150,000. Heissenberg was down to 32,000.

Double For Kessler

While writing up a post Allen Kessler was nice enough to stop by the PokerNews desk and inform us of a recent double up he had.

Apparently Kessler was able to get into a pot with four other players holding . The flop came and Kessler managed to get in against an opponent who held .

Kessler managed to hold on and now sits with around 60,000 in chips. This is Kessler's 17th cash since 2010, and looks to take down poker glory today.

Volpe Moving Up

The flop read and Benjamin Volpe bet out 6,400. His opponent on the button made the call. We don't know exactly how the action went preflop, but

The on the turn saw both players check their option. The on the river saw a bet of 16,700. The button then made the call and Volpe exposed for the ace high flush. The button mucked and Volpe moved into one of the top stacks in the room.

Elimination Station: Huck Seed and Tom McCormick Are Out

A few more eliminations as the player total plummets to 214.

Huck Seed has 4 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets and close to $3 million in WSOP cashes to his name, but he will not be going any deeper in this event. He has just found himself all-in holding against an opponent holding . To add a bit of spice into the proceedings the board ran out .

Also out is serial WSOP casher Tom "The Shamrock Kid" McCormack. McCormack running into pocket queens in a pre flop all-in confrontation.

"All-In & Call!"

The air is struggling to contain all of the, "all-in and call's," spewed forth from the mouths of the dealers. The day really has started with a slugfest of shoves, re-shoves and calls. Here are two eliminations for you.

Dara Davey raised all-in for 14,600 total and Joao Simao also moved all-in to his immediate left. Nobody else joined the fray and it was Simao and his versus Davey and his . The board ran out and Davey was out.

Then we saw an all-in between Uri Reichenstein and Samuel McGrath. McGrath was the person at risk of elimination, but he was in great shape.

Reichenstein rivered a straight and the luckless McGrath was out.

Boyd Back in Action

Play is moving along pretty quickly for it being the first 5 minutes of the day. Walking around the tournament area you can't avoid hearing someone say "pay out!". The short stacks are moving in, trying to grab hold of something substantial or hit the rail early and do something else with their day.

Over at table #359 one of those short stacks, Jonathan Ko moved all in for around 4,600. Liya Gerasimova called from the cut-off and Dutch Boyd did the same from the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of and Ko exploded in glee. Obviously very excited he started talking about his hand, basically saying he won. The table told him to be quiet as there were other people involved in the hand, and he mildly suppressed his excitement.

Boyd bet out 5,000 and Gerasimova made the call. The fell on the turn and both players took the opportunity to check.

After the hit the river both players repeated their actions with checks and cards were exposed. Ko flipped over for a set of tens. Boyd flipped over for a pair of aces, which was apparently enough to take the small side pot, as Gerasimova mucked her cards.
