Shuan Deeb - 6th Place

Andy Frankenberger made it 125,000 on the button and Shaun Deeb moved all-in from the big blind for 425,000. Back to Frankenberger who made the call and we had a showdown.

Frankenberger
Deeb

Another showdown, another flip…were we going to se another double up?

Flop:

Frankenberger spiked a set to take the lead, but Deeb has the broadway straight-draw.

Turn:

BOOM! Deeb does what Deeb does best! His cards just refuse to be beaten. He has once again avoided defeat to hit the broadway straight and Frankenberger looked distraught.

River:

BOOM! BOOM! We are in the river, Frankenberger has hit the boat and Deeb is left to drown without a paddle. Terrible news for Deeb fans, great news for Frankenberger fans and that was the last hand of the level.

Ivey Loses Flush Over Flush

Phil Ivey cannot believe his luck

Phil Ivey raised to 100,000, under the gun, and he took down the blinds before receiving a walk in the big blind. Next it is Ali Eslami's turn to raise from the button making it 100,000 to play and both Ivey (SB) and Manual Bevand (BB) make the call. The flop is and Ivey comes out betting for 75,000, Bevand folded and Eslami called. Fourth street is the and Ivey was in no mood to put the brakes on; he made it 150,000 and the shade-wearing Eslami went into the tank. A few moments later and Eslami moved all-in, Ivey called and we had a showdown.

Ivey

Ivey Recovers

Phil Ivey

Phil Ivey opened to 100,000 on his button, and Andy Frankenberger defended his big blind with a call.

The two men check-checked through the . The on the turn paired the board, and Frankenberger checked again. When Ivey made his bet of 100,000, though, Frankenberger snuck in a check-raise to 225,000 total. Ivey was undeterred, and he called after just a moment's pause.

The river came the , and Frankenberger stacked up a bet. He had 225,000 in his hands ready to fire, but he thought better of it and checked with one finger. Ivey tapped the rail with an indifferent look on his face.

"Jack-high," Frankenberger announced, reluctant to show. Ivey didn't make him. He quickly tabled his , and ace-high gets the job done.

Ivey is back over a million chips and back in contention for the lead. Things are changing awfully quickly here at this pot-limit final table.

Alex Angles Them to the Muck

Alex Venovski (cutoff) and Phil Ivey (big blind) took a heads-up flop in the last hand. The dealer spread out . Ivey checked to Venovski, and he made a continuation bet of 60,000. That's as far as he'd go, though. Ivey flicked out a raise to 150,000, and that scared Venovski out with a quickness.

Venovski is down around 380,000 now.

Matt Marafioti Eliminated in 7th Place ($65,840)

Marafioti

Venovski had turned the nuts and Marafioti's hopes of remaining at this final table were slim.

Marafioti was ahead and had the slightly larger stack, but Eslami had the run-good, it seems. The paired both players, but it paired Eslami the hardest. Marafioti could not catch up on the turn or river, and he's been parted with all but 15,000 of his stack.

Eslami, on the other hand, is back over a half-million chips as the swings continue to be gut-wrenching at this final table.

Eslami and Deeb Trade Places

Shuan Deeb

For the second time in as many days, it seems that Shaun Deeb is hot on the comeback trail once again.

The table folded around to the blinds on the last hand, and Deeb opened to 150,000. Ali Eslami raised to put him all in, and Deeb instantly called off his 315,000 with . Eslami could only show , and he was in trouble with more than half his chips in the middle, too.

There was a good sweat by the time the turn arrived on the board. Eslami had some chop outs, and the clubs left in the deck would give him the clean knockout. But the river was as blank as it gets — the .

Just like that, Deeb is back out of the basement once again. He's got 630,000 now, while Eslami falls back to the short stack with 265,000 or so.

Ivey:

Oh. Well, that's not very much fun. The flop gave Ivey a shot at winning the pot outright, but the turn ended any potential silliness. Chop it up, boys.

Venovski Bites Back

Ali Eslami limped into the pot from mid-position and the newly doubled-down Alexander Venovski moved all-in on the button. Eslami made the call and we had our second successive showdown.

By the Way...

Andy Frankenberger is wearing pink pants for this final table. Martha Stewart would probably call them "salmon-hued". Dress to impress.

Just thought you should know.

Limpy Eslami

Ali Eslami limped into the pot second to act, and Andy Frankenberger joined him with a call from the button. Daniel Weinman knocked the table in the big blind. Three ways to the flop.

It came , and Eslami made the first bet of 60,000. Frankenberger promptly raised to 160,000 straight. That was enough to fold both opponents and earn him the pot right there.
