Karina Jett: (XXX) /

David Levi:     /

Christopher George:     /

Karina Jett brought in and David Levi completed. Christopher George, by now the table short stack, raised. Both his opponents called.

George bet out on fourth street and both players called. He attempted to bet all in blind before the fifth card was dealt, but the dealer handed him back his chips, reminding him that he might not be first to act. And duly, Levi was first to act with a pair of eights. Levi checked, now George's chips went in, and both his opponents made the call.

Levi bet out on sixth street and Jett called, and then they both checked on seventh. No-one could boast a low and Levi's two pair, kings and deuces, were good enough to take the whole lot.

George hit the rail, Levi's stack increased to 890,000 and Jett's decreased to around 600,000.

Maxwell Troy:     /

Karina Jett:     /

We just managed to catch Karina Jett check-calling bets on sixth and seventh streets, only to discover that her two pair, aces and fours, were no good against Maxwell Troy's trip queens.

Jett dropped back to 720,000 or so. Troy meanwhile moved into the lead on 1,130,000.

Wednesday, June 16, 2010 9:42 PM Local Time

One players whose stack has witnessed more ups and downs than a kangaroo on a bungee is Maxwell Troy's. Having recovered superbly from his poor start, he's now right back up there after taking a pot of George who is down to 420,000 as a result.

Christopher George    /

Maxwell Troy:   {X}/

This figure could be dramatically different in five minutes time, but, at the moment, Troy has circa 750,000.

Wednesday, June 16, 2010 9:36 PM Local Time

We're seeing so many big pots at the moment that players are going from comfortable to short stack within just one hand.

David Levi:   /    /

David Warga:   /    /

On this occasion, Levi had his many all in, and despite an admirable peel on seventh, wasn't able to find the right card. As a result, Warga jumped back up to 400,000 whilst Levi dropped to 550,000.

Wednesday, June 16, 2010 9:28 PM Local Time

To cries of, "Yalah!" from the rail (rough translation: "Come on!") David Levi scooped a big pot out of the hands of Maxwell Troy with a full house, aces full of queens. Troy's full house, deuces full of fours, didn't get a look in.

Levi's stack increased to 700,000. Troy's shrank to 380,000.

Jonathan Bascom got his stack in again, this time against Karina Jett - but once again he survived, taking half the pot.

He anted off for a while, and then the following happened.

Bascom:    /      /

David Warga: (XX) /     - fold

Maxwell Troy:    /      /

Bascom completed, and Warga raised. Troy reraised, and Bascom now attempted to call all in out of position. He took his chips back and waited for a while until Karina Jett decided to fold, and then he called all in. Both his opponents called.

Troy bet out on fourth street and Warga called. Troy bet out again on sixth street and this time Warga closed his eyes as though trying to enter a happy place where he had better cards than the ones in front of him. After a while he folded.

The rest of the cards were dealt, and Bascom's low failed to come in. Troy and his full house scooped the lot, and Bascom finally hit the rail.

Wednesday, June 16, 2010 9:09 PM Local Time

David Warga was the aggressor, betting most streets until the river where it was checked down. Warga shrugged his shoulders and announced "just a low", but it soon emerged that he actually had a flush draw for a scoop. Troy looked about as happy as a penguin in a microwave.

David Warga:    /

David Levi: {mucked on sixth)/

Maxwell Troy: {X}{X}{X}/

Warga - 515,000

Troy - 255,000

Chris Tryba:    /      /

Christopher George:    /      /

Chris Tryba completed and Christopher George, who'd brought in, squinted and made the call.

George check-called another bet from Tryba on fourth street. Tryba was first to act on fifth and his action was to bet all in for his last 23,000. George squinted again and made the call.

"OWWW!" cried Tryba as he made two pair on sixth street - in the manner of a rock god rather than as though he'd stubbed his toe. But his celebration was extremely short-lived indeed, as seventh street brought George a set of nines and sent the popular Tryba to join his supporters at the rail.

Wednesday, June 16, 2010 8:53 PM Local Time

More chops than my local butcher's at the moment as yet another pot is split. This time it was Chris Tryba who was all in, up against Christopher George with cards turned over by third street.

George:   /    /

Tryba:   /    /

Despite a scare on fifth street (Tryda screamed like a 10-year old girl when the   hit the felt), George's final two cards were both black, but low enough to warrant half the pot with eight low.

George - 440,000

Tryba - 80,000

Tryba still low and my spider senses are tingling...

Wednesday, June 16, 2010 8:48 PM Local Time

Jonathan Bascom was all in for his last 30,000 and found resistance in neighbor David Levi. However, barring a gutshot, it was pretty much all over by sixth street and the pot was chopped.

Karina Jett: (XX) /   - fold

Jonathan Bascom:    /      /

David Warga:    /      /

Karina Jett completed before folding to a raise from Jonathan Bascom and a reraise from David Warga. Heads up, the rest of Bascom's chips went in on fourth street and they turned their cards up.

Warga's low came in on fifth street and Bascom took the high, not with the flush he'd been heading towards but with a pair of fives.

"We've gotta stop playing this garbage," said Warga as they each took back their own chips.

Wednesday, June 16, 2010 8:31 PM Local Time

It's been a slippery slope for former chip leader Maxwell Troy since the start of this final table. He's down to 460,000 after losing two pots in quick succession, one of which was against Karina Jett who now has close to one million in chips.

Wednesday, June 16, 2010 8:28 PM Local Time

Kristy Gazes is back at the rail, delighted that Karina Jett is in the lead. She's brought a bunch of friends with her this time, and the chants of, "Go KJ! Go KJ!" are now being alternated with that "OOH-ah OOH-ah" thing that most of us haven't heard since the '90s.

Wednesday, June 16, 2010 8:24 PM Local Time

David Warga:    /      /

Karina Jett: (XX) /   - fold

Jonathan Bascom:    /      /

David Warga made the bring in and Karina Jett completed. Over to the short-stacked Jonathan Bascom, who raised - and back to Warga, who reraised. Jett got out of their way and Bascom capped; Warga made the call and they received another card.

Bascom was first to act on fourth street and following another brief raising war he was all in. They turned their cards up, and the dealer kept going.

By the end of the hand, Warga's low had come in and Bascom's aces had held up to chop the pot. Bascom is no longer the short stack, though - Chris Tryba had to bring in a couple times and folded to a completion every time, pushing his stack down to around 100,000, a little less than Bascom's stack.

Wednesday, June 16, 2010 8:17 PM Local Time

Chris Tryba:    /

David Warga:    /

Tryba brought in, Karina Jett completed, Warga raised and both players called. Warga bet fourth street; just Jett called. Both players checked on fifth, only for Tryba to call a bet on sixth. Check, check on seventh. Chop it up.

Wow, it seems as though Karina Jett had some poker juice with her dinner - right now, she seems unstoppable.

Most recently we saw her complete and then call a raise from David Levi. Levi check-called all the way down to seventh street, when Jett revealed an ace-high flush. Levi couldn't beat it and Jett scooped the whole lot.

On around 820,000, Jett is now our chip leader. Levi dropped to 280,000, to the consternation of the Israeli element at the rail who, we suspect, think that no-one else can understand what they are saying.

Jett:   (X) /

Levi: (XXX) /

Wednesday, June 16, 2010 7:55 PM Local Time

Just a few hands in, Allen Bari became the first casualty of the final when he felt the wrath of Karina Jett. After Bari had completed, Jett raised it up and Bari called. Bari called a bet on fourth, but then led on fifth, before calling the final two streets.

On seventh, he had just 15,000 left, but deduced that he was too far in to fold. "You go it," he sighed as the hands were revealed.

Karina Jett:     /

David Levi: (mucked) /

David Warga brought in with the   and Karina Jett completed. David Levi called, and once Warga folded they were heads up to fourth street.

Jett bet out on every subsequent street and Levi called her all the way down before both checked on seventh. Jett tabled nothing but the pair of kings, and Levi mucked.
