Day 2 Chip Leader Ben Lindemulder
Ben Lindemulder is getting used to being the big stack. After bagged the biggest stack on Day 1C,he had a similar experience on Day 2 and finishes atop the chip counts with 5,325,000. Lindemulder steadily grew his stack throughout the day and ended with a sizable chip lead--almost 2 million more than the next biggest stack.
The massive field of 21,613 was down to just 846 when Day 2 kicked off at 2 p.m. Everybody remaining was in the money and guaranteed a payday of at least $2,200. They played eight, one-hour levels and 78 players survived the day to advance to Day 3.
Joining Lindemulder at the top of the leaderboard heading into Day 3 are Richard Carr (3,550,000), five-time Circuit ring winner Vincent Moscati (3,300,000), and Farhad Davoudzadeh (2,845,000).
Other notables still in contention on Day 3 include two-time Circuit ring winner Jeff Fielder (2,105,000), along with bracelet winners Amir Lehavot (1,545,000), David "ODB" Baker (890,000), Marco Johnson (815,000), and Ylon Schwartz (860,000).
Not everyone was fortunate enough to survive the day. Those who busted today include Nam Le, Allen Cunningham, Kane Kallas, bracelet winner Alex Bolotin, Joseph Cheong, Matt Stout, Taylor Paur, Robert Cheung, Joe Elpayaa, Kelly Minkin, Asher Conniff, Michael Mizrachi, Scotty Nguyen, Max Silver, Bryan Piccioli
All remaining players are guaranteed at least $10,289 for their efforts, with the first place finisher earning $1 million. Play resumes tomorrow at 2 p.m., and they will play down to the final table.

There is less than half an hour before the end of Day 2 in the 2016 Colossus, and Robert Cote doesn't have many chips.
An early position player raises to 80,000. Cotes calls the 80,000, but has only 20,000 behind.
Action folds back to the the raising player, and he prematurely flips over his cards to show . Cote says "I'm not all in," and the other player scoops up his cards, turns them back over, and puts out a stack of chips as a blind bet fbefore the flop. Cote calls in the dark with his last chips

Just the blinds and antes are worth more than 100,000 chips. With the matching chips for his stack, Cote effectively triples up.
Friends on the rail cheer him on and he runs over to talk to them during the next hand, then heads back to shove all in. He wins another hand and another 100,000.

The player from early position goes into the tank and is clearly struggling with his decision. "That's such a big raise," Buchanan's opponent says, then shakes his head. After two minutes, he folds his hand and says "Alright sir, nice bet," the button also folds and Buchanan claims the pot.

Action folds to Eric Aasa on the button and he shoves his entire stack into the middle. The blinds fold, the player under the gun is already all in, and Horak jokingly asks for a count, though Aasa obviously has him covered.
It takes a short amount of time for Horak to fold, but he does, then Aasa shows his which is up against the under-the-gun player's .
Aasa's ace-king stays out front and even improves to a pair of aces on the river of a board and he takes the pot.
Shortly after that, and with their table about to break, Horak takes in some chips by shoving his stack to take the blinds and antes, though he still has a deficit to make up.
