The second day of the $3,000 six max tournament has drawn to a close. There will be 35 players returning tomorrow for Day 3 to continue on their quest to be the newest WSOP bracelet winner.

Leading the pack heading into Day 3 tomorrow is Jason Les who will be carrying forward 854,000. Les has had a spectacular showing so far this Series, with a second place in the $3,000 No Limit Hold'Em Shootout and third place finish in the $10,000 Pot Limit Hold'Em Championship . Coming in a very close second in chips will be Kiryl Radzivonau (851,000). And rounding out the top three is Alexander Debus (832,000).

A total of 285 players started the day, and the bubble officially burst when only 108 players remained. There were quite a few notables that made it into the money today but finished shy of making Day 3, including Sylvain Loosli (85th), Antonio Esfandiari (84th), Shannon Shorr (56th), and Martin Jacobson (55th).

The river comes the  . Vinson checks and Paur bets 32,000. Vinson thinks for about a minute before eventually calling.

With a board reading      Rep Porter leads out for 31,000 from the big blind and is called by Mohsin Charania in the cutoff. The   completes the board and both players announce they have one pair. Charania opens    and Porter mucks.

Marty “Kid Sally” Salowitz raises and is called in one spot before Matthew Wantman three-bets all in for 114,000 with ace-seven. Salowitz is the only caller with ace-ten and the board runs blank.

The next hand, Rep Porter raises to 15,000 off the button and is called by Ben Heath before Salowitz says, “I’m gonna raise that much” and tips in a stack of chips.

“How much is that?” chuckles Porter.

“I don’t know, but a lot” says Salowitz back.

It’s 41,000 and both Porter and Heath call. The flop comes     and both opponents fold to Salowitz’s 50,000 c-bet. He’s back up to 560,000.

More than 200,000 chips sat in the middle with a board reading     . Cornel Cimpan leads for 50,000 and is called by Rob Tepper on the button but Andrew Lettau, who sits in the big blind, moves out of the way, The river is the   and Cimpan sets Tepper in for his remaining 110,000. He folds and is seen busting shortly after.

Pierre Merlin is all-in holding    and has been called by Joseph Liberta who is holding   .

The flop comes     keeping Liberta in the lead with his ace hight.

But that all changes when the   hits the turn giving Merlin a straight.

The river is the   and with that, Merlin doubles to nearly to 200,000.

Ben Vinson raises to 10,000 from the button and sees Andrew Lettau three-bet to 27,000 from the small blind. Vinson comes back with a four-bet to 65,000 and calls all in for 257,000 after Vinson shoves.

Martin Jacobson never had a big stack the entire tournament and he never will as he just busted. The Swedish superstar came by the media desk and told the WSOP.com blog, "I busted with pocket fives, guess which place I came." He then held up the number 55 to show that's where he busted. An opponent called his shove with ace-deuce and got there.

Kendra Way limps under the gun.  David Novosel raises to 18,000, Andrei Konopelko shoves all-in and Way folds  Novosel asks for a count and calls the 44,000 all-in bet.

Cornel Cimpan is sat on 820,000 chips to move well clear at the top of the counts. He filled the WSOP.com blog in on the two major hands that got him there.

At the end of the last level, Javier Zarco raised to 8,500 and picked up three callers including Cimpan. The flop came     and Zarco continued for 22,000. Cimpan raised to 62,000 which was enough to force out the other two players, but not Zarco, who moved all in for 200,000 effective. Cimpan called all in with top two pair and survived being outdrawn by Zarco’s jack-ten for a straight draw.

Fast-forward to this level and Zarco moved all in for 50,000 with    and was followed in by Joe Hachem and his pocket eights. Cimpan said he looked down at pocket aces in the small blind and called to knock both players out.

Alex Bolotin raises to 10,000 from under the gun and calls after Bryn Kenney three-bets to 21,000 from the small blind . The flop comes     and Kenney continues for 28,000. Call. On the   turn Kenney fires another 42,000 and Bolotin calls once more. Kenney moved all in for his last 107,000 and Bolotin calls once more.

Kenney opens    and Bolotin mucks to go short. He busts soon after in 78th place.

Sylvain Loosli has had quite the attention on him the past few days.  Film crews have been following Loosi's every move since the beginning of the tournament. The camera's are now watching as Loosli is walking to the cage for payout after being eliminated from this tournament in 85th place. 

Loosli had    and was facing Jared Jaffee's   .  Unfortunately for Loosli the board ran out      , giving Jaffee trip tens and sending Loosli, and his camera crew, to the rail.
