The first day of the Super Seniors tournament is in the books. This tournament, where only players older than 64 could participate, drew 1,533 entries. The tournament created a prize pool of $1,379,700.

Henry Hannigan ended the day with the most chips. He built his 5,000 starting stack into 115,000 by the end of the day. Some other players with big stacks are Rod Pardey (89,200), Peter Brownstein (88,000), Charles Moore (78,100), Bob Schaeffer (77,700) and Ben Barnum (68,000). There are also some familiar names back for Day 2 including Dan Harrington (39,400), Barry Shulman (28,800) and Pierre Neuville (27,000). Neuville lost a big pot at the end of the day. He check-raised all-in with a gutshot and a flush draw against top pair. The opponent made a full house and Neuville was down to a short stack at that point but built it back up.
The clock showed 253 players left at the end of the day. TJ Cloutier, Tom McEvoy and Steve Zolotow are just some of the many who did not survive the first day. The story of the day was the presence of Doyle Brunson, he played played his first tournament of the 2015 World Series of Poker. The crowd gave Brunson a standing ovation in honor or his contributions to the WSOP. Brunson was eliminated before the end of the day.

McMillen finished 10th in this year's WSOP $1,000 No Limit Hold'em Hyper Turbo Event. He's cashed in two other WSOP events in previous years, including a Seniors Championship.
While his opponent tanks, McMillen talks: "Let me have the pot, buddy. I made a play, you know it, I know it, but let me have it!" McMillen's opponent doesn't respond.
McMillen continues:"I've got a queen - or maybe I've got a jack, I don't know but either way, you can't beat any of it. Please don't call me. I'll give you the rest of the night, I just want to bag tonight!"
McMillen's opponent continues to tank and another player asks for the floor to be called.
McMillen, whose tablemates have asked him to watch his language in the presence of ladies on the rail, says: "I'm sorry, I apologise to everybody!"
Nick, the table's dealer, sits there patiently, remaining good humoured.
Eventually, the player who's tanking flicks his cards towards the dealer, folding.
McMillen turns over , saying, "I wish you would have called!" He continues to goad his opponent, saying: "Were you close, Jimmy? Did you almost call?" His opponent sits quietly and doesn't respond.

In many tournaments the last level doesn't see a ton of action, but on back-to-back hands there were two all in bets, and two calls.
The first hand Tom Lock shoves all in for his last 12,000. The action folds around to Cary Moomijan, the last person to act, and he calls showing . Lock turns over and begins to gather his things.
The board comes giving Lock a hearth flush and cracking Moomijan's aces.
On the very next hand, Moomijan shoves all in and gets called by the player in seat one, who also has aces . Moomijan has and is a little bothered by the fact that two hands might send him home this quickly.

Two-time WSOP bracelet winner Andre Boyer has been eliminated by Rod Pardey who also holds two WSOP bracelets. Between them, these players have amassed over $6,200,000 in WSOP earnings.
According to Boyer, he was in for 32,000 with kings, and he was knocked out by Pardey, the table's chipleader, who flopped a set of eights.
Pardey won his bracelets for Limit 7 Card Stud in 1991 and 1994. Boyer won his for $3,000 No Limit Hold'em in 2005 and $1,500 Split Format Hold'em just two weeks ago.
With 94,300, Pardey is currently one of this tournament's chipleaders. Boyer says he's set to return for at least one more tournament before the main event.

He says to Cloutier that he has nice cards before showing , and he folds. TJ Cloutier reacts with "I had one of my favorite low cards" and shows . A good example where this tournament is all about, a lot of fun. It seems that all players really enjoy this tournament.

Harvey Milstein finished in the money in the WSOP Seniors Championship in 2010. He raises to 1,000 in middle position and the big blind calls.
The flop is the . The big blind checks, Milstein bets 1,000 and his opponent folds. Milstein mucks his cards then pulls them back and turns over , showing he'd flopped two pairs. The big blind says: "I had ace, six suited. I only played it because it was suited."
Milstein's luck continues through to the next hand. Betting 1,000 from middle position, Milstein is called by the hijack and the big blind.
The flop falls . The big blind checks and Milstein bets 4,000. Both the hijack and the big blind fold.
The big blind says: "Your ace killed me! I assume you had an ace - you had the ace, right?" This time, Milstein doesn't reveal his hand and his opponent jokes: "You're getting to be a real bully!"
