Recently on a hot streak, Chad DeLanzo snags another top-five finish at Harvey’s Lake Tahoe, granting him gold this time around.

Stateline, Nevada (October 30, 2016) – Chad DeLanzo won himself a Circuit gold ring in the wee hours of Sunday morning by sweeping through a field of 155 players in Event #4: $365 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo. This was DeLanzo’s second final table of the series and he continues to rack up Casino Championship points with his impressive feats.

The event, featuring quick, 20-minute levels throughout, ran from start to finish in a matter of one day. Because of the frequent rise in blinds, luck is sometimes a larger influence when it comes to turbo-style tournaments. DeLanzo was certainly on the fortunate side of this determining factor during the final table action.

“I just ran extremely hot, won a ton of flips, and just picked up hands at the perfect time,” DeLanzo explained.

There was one crucial setback for DeLanzo though. At one point, his top two pair ran into bottom set, leaving him with a hindered stack. However, from then on, he caught fire and never looked back. DeLanzo’s victory awarded him 50 Casino Championship points on top of the 27.5 he already banked in Event #2.

Even though he does not play many tournaments, ten a year he estimates, DeLanzo has been running good so far in the 2016/17 Circuit tour and now finds himself 3^rd in points on the WSOPC National Leaderboard. This elevated position is prompting DeLanzo to continue playing Circuit events in an effort to maintain his automatic bid to the Global Casino Championship. Next stop on the list is Palm Beach Kennel Club in Florida, taking place in mid-November.

“I looked at the schedule. They have a PLO Eight tournament and that’s my favorite game,” said DeLanzo. “Might as well chase some points.”

Just like his Event #2 rival, Julian Galvan, DeLanzo is openly partial to Pot-Limit Omaha. In fact, his debut final table at Harvey’s came in the solo PLO event on the schedule, which was more his style.

“To be honest with you, I don’t like playing No-Limit Hold’em tournaments because everyone is so serious,” said DeLanzo. “I like to have fun while I’m playing.”

Having a good time is rarely in question when you are winning and DeLanzo has lately been doing just that. He walks away with a nice payday of $12,555 and of course the coveted gold ring. DeLanzo has set himself up as the top contender for Casino Champion, but he will be departing for his home in San Diego on Monday night. If his 77.5 total holds up, he will no longer have to worry about points on account of clinching a Global Casino Championship seat by way of a venue title.

Bob Turk (pictured) must take his leave in fifth place. Bob walks away with $3,053 and 25 Casino Championship points.

Tenth place has hit the rails and the field is down to nine. Level 21 looms on the horizon and stack sizes are not that deep with an average of 19 big blinds per player. A minimum of 15 Casino Championship points will be earned by every final table contestant.

Event #4 is down to it's last three tables. Players have redrawn their seats and will continue to fight to make the eventual final table.

The field is not yet in-the-money. Only the top 18 warriors will walk away with a profit and earn themselves Casino Championship points.

The prizepool for Event #4 has been finalized. With 155 entries the total prizepool comes out to $45,600 with the top payout being $12,555. A total of 18 players will walk away with a payday. Here is a look at the final table payouts:

One level down and field for Event #4: No-Limit Hold'em Turbo has already cracked one hundred. A quick rise in entrants for a quick structured event.

First break in play will happen after Level 6 is completed.

In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger from his role in Jingle All the Way... "It's turbo time." Event #4 begins today in the late afternoon. It will be the first of two No-Limit Hold'em Turbo tournaments here at Harvey's Lake Tahoe. The speedy, 20-minute levels make for a fast-paced game and smaller registration window. However, during the registration period any player who has been eliminated will be allowed one re-entry. This event will come to a conclusion by the end of the night.
