After Day 1 of Event #23: $2,000 No Limit Hold'em, there are 283 players still in the hunt for the gold bracelet and $447,739 winner's prize. A total of 1,419 players started the day and each played ten 60-minute levels.
The unofficial chip leader entering Day 2, with 141,100 chips, is Iman Shahbazy. Among his closest challengers so far are Kyle White (140,900), Navin Kamal (137,900), Michael Laake (121,600), and Steve Watts (130,000).
Other notables still in the field include Yevgeniy Timoshenko (76,400), Niall Farrell (58,100), Jessica Dawley (20,900), Darryl Fish (19,700), bracelet winner Arkadiy Tsinis (30,000), Dutch Boyd (52,500), and Andre Akkari (42,600).
Play resumes at 12 p.m. local time tomorrow, with ten and a half one-hour levels on the schedule. The top 213 players will cash this event, with a min-cash worth $3,004.
