Michael Bailey Defends His Turf With a Victory in the Bounty Event.

Elizabeth, Ind. (October 8, 2015) -- Horseshoe S. Indiana regular, Michael Bailey, has won his first WSOP Circuit gold ring by taking down Event #7 - $365 No-Limit Hold'em Bounty. Bailey comes to the Horseshoe S. Indiana casino regularly to play in the weekly tournaments, but is relatively new to the WSOP. This is only the second WSOP event Bailey has ever played in.

"It feels great. Actually it is only the second World Series event I have played in," said Bailey about winning his first gold ring.

New to the World Series, Bailey didn't play like a rookie. He defeated a tough final table that included two gold ring winners. Third place finisher, Jason Hill, has two gold rings and fifth place finisher, Robert Cheung, has one gold ring. Cheung also has a gold bracelet to his name. The last opponent standing between Bailey and the gold ring was runner-up finisher, Barbra Walston. Walston has seen a fair bit of WSOP success over the past decade. She has now cashed 10 times in WSOP Circuit events, including reaching three final tables.

Beside the $9,396 first place prize, Bailey estimated that he had collected 12 bounties over the course of the tournament, which are worth $100 a piece. Bailey's post tournament plans are just to keep playing the game he enjoys. He expects to play in this weekend's Main Event to try to parlay his five-figure score into a potential six-figure score.

"I had a great time and enjoyed it," said Bailey on his WSOP experience.
