With almost half his stack already in for the ante, Vitch commits his final chips blind. Ringe calls with a pair of jacks, and he has a nice head start on Vitch's ace high. Neither player improves their hands until sixth street, where Ringe picks up three jacks, and Vitch picks up a low draw. Vitch needs to complete that low to survive, but he can't do it, as the comes instead.
Vitch will have to settle for the $111,860 second place prize, while London native Gerald Ringe wins his first WSOP gold bracelet, and $180,943 with it!

Shortly after doubling up, Christopher Vitch was crippled down to his last 50,000 by Gerald Ringe. Action starts with Ringe bringing in with his nine. Vitch completes with the ace, and Ringe calls. Vitch leads again on fourth, and Ringe bumps it up. Vitch calls the raise, and both players check when they pair up on fifth. Vitch fires out on sixth, and once again, Ringe raises it up. Vitch goes into the tank for quite some time, eventually apologizing to Ringe for the tank. After about three minutes, he calls, and Ringe bets one more time on seventh.
Vitch doesn't take long to call, and Ringe announces "boat," tabling in the hole. Vitch mucks his hand, dropping him to less than a small bet.

Idema is ahead with the split pair of eights but Ringe makes a flush by sixth street to leave Idema drawing dead and heading for the payout desk in 3rd place.

Christopher Vitch brings in with the four showing, and Gerald Ringe completes with the jack. Vitch calls, and Ringe bets out the entire way. Vitch doesn't take long to call on fourth and fifth street, but he does have a lengthy tank on sixth. He thinks for about two minutes before calling, and after the seventh card, Ringe fires one more time. Vitch calls, and Ringe tables for trip aces. Vitch chuckles a bit before mucking, and a sea of chips is sent to Ringe.
After that pot, Ringe is up to 3,300,000, with both of his opponents under 500,000.

On fourth street Ringe checks and Vitch makes a bet, which Ringe calls. On fifth street Vitch takes the lead on boards and is first to act. He bets and Ringe calls. The same action occurs on sixth street, but on seventh Vitch bets and Ringe makes it two bets. Vitch calls, only to be shown by Ringe for a seven high straight, which scoops the pot as Vitch mucks.

Christopher Vitch
Four days ago, 547 players entered Event #65: $1,500 Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better for the opportunity to become the newest WSOP bracelet holder. After the three scheduled days of play had finished, three players could not be separated and will return today to battle for that coveted bracelet, along with the $180,943 first prize.

Leading the trio is Christopher Vitch of La Jolla, California. Vitch is a limit game specialist with 10 WSOP cashes and two final tables, all of which have come in Limit events. He is closely followed by Gerald Ringe of London, England, who has two previous cashes at the WSOP, one of which came in Event #55: $1,500 Draftkings 50/50 No Limit Hold'Em. A distant third in chips is 3-time WSOP bracelet winner Daniel Idema of Vancouver, British Columbia. In fact, Idema won this event in 2013, and he picked up his most recent bracelet this summer in Event #35: $3,000 H.O.R.S.E.
