Travis Baker

The final table for the $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship is set. After 65 players started Day 2 with their eyes set on the $613,466 first place prize, Travis Baker will lead the final nine when play resumes Monday at 11 a.m.

Baker (4,935,000) will be followed by Stephen Nussrallah (4,060,000) in second place. The nine remaining players are guaranteed at least a $49,435 payday, but all will be gunning for first place money, a WSOP bracelet, and the Golden Eagle trophy.

After beginning the day as chip leader, Jim Hopperstead was able to navigate the 65-man field and has made the final table with 2,855,000, good enough for third place. WSOP bracelet winner Steve Gee also remains in the field and will start Day 4 eighth in chips with 1,455,000.

Shane Goldsmith opens the action with an all in shove from middle position for a little more than 700,000. Ron Massetti (above) moves all in for less, about 650,000, from the cutoff and the blinds fold.

Massetti's pair is ahead and remains ahead after the     flop. The turn is the   giving Goldsmith additional outs to a flush. But he won't hit a flush, instead spiking the   to burst the final table bubble with two pair, queens and sixes.

Massetti is out in 10th place, cashing for $38,265.

The players have really tightened up this level. There is a lot of preflop raise, fold around action and walks for the big blind. As soon as a player is eliminated, the remaining nine will bag their chips and come back tomorrow for the final table. The players did decide to forgo their dinner break and continue play.

Players were scheduled for an hour-long dinner break after level six, but will forgo that break as they are only one elimination away from busting the final table bubble.

Players are now on a 15-minute break and play will resume until one player has been eliminated. The final nine will bag up their chips and return to the Rio at 1 p.m. Monday to play down to a winner.

Stephen Nussrallah opens the action with a raise to 85,000 in the cutoff. The action folds to David Gaspard (above) in the big blind and Gaspard three-bets to 285,000.

Nussrallah goes in the tank, but eventually calls and the pair see a     flop. Gaspard checks and Nussrallah bets 400,000. Gaspard counts out his chips and moves all in. Nussrallah snap-calls and tables    for a set of nines. Gaspard is well behind with   .

The   turn and   river are no help to Gaspard and he is eliminated in 12th place, cashing for $38,265.

Jim Hopperstead limps in from middle position. Lee Budin calls from the small blind. Dan Goldman shoves all in from the big blind.

Hopperstead eyes Goldmns chips. Goldman asks if he wants a count and puts his chips out along with his Diet Pepsi. The dealer does a counts and announces that it is 450,000 chips and zero calories. Hopperstead calls the all in but has no drink to put up. Budin gets out of the way.

Hopperstead shows   . Goldman turns over [ac,qg]. Goldman pulls out his red 'One Time' button and said that he hasn't used it yet and he was debating if this was the time.

The board comes      .Goldman is eliminated in 13th place.

In the cutoff, Chris Barton (above) opens for a raise to 100,000. From the small blind, Justin Tseng three-bets to 240,000.

The big blind folds and Barton moves all in for about 800,000. Tseng doesn't even ask for a count before calling and tabling   . Barton is behind heading to the flop with   .

The     flop keeps Tseng out in front with a set and he hits a full house with the   turn. The river is the   and Barton is eliminated in 14th place, cashing for $29,849.

The action folds back around to Baker who asks for a count, and eventually slides in a stack of chips for the call.

Jim Hopperstead makes it 85,000 to go. Ted Grose three bets making it 325,000. Hopperstead shoves all in.

Grose has been using fortune cookies to tell him what to do in tough situations. He sits in the tank for a minute and decides it's fortune cookie time. Grose pulls out a cookie and unwraps it. He breaks it open and pulls out the paper fortune. He reads aloud, "You are next in line for a promotion in your firm." He debates on what that may mean and eventually pushes his chips in the middle.
