Defending Champion Takes His Seat

Joe Cada, pictured from his run in Event #4 at the start of the WSOP,
will look to defend his $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em Championship title here in Event #37.

Regardless of what tournaments Joe Cada wins throughout the rest of his poker career, nothing will ever top the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event.

Cada outlasted a massive 6,500 field to win his first bracelet and just over $8,500,000, all while vaulting himself to the top of the poker world.

Fast forward a few years to the summer of 2014 and, while the stage and field may have been smaller, Cada was lifting his second WSOP bracelet after beating a stacked field in this same $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em Six Max Championship.

With nearly every big name professional competing for this bracelet, the win surely showed Cada's ability against the world's best and while he's been able to notch a few smaller scores through the first half of this year's WSOP, he'll be looking for his first big time result of the summer as he tries to defend his $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em Six Max Championship title.
