Day 2 of Event #13: $2,500 Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo Eight or Better has drawn to a close, with 40 players returning tomorrow for the chance to win the $269,612 first prize and the gold WSOP bracelet.
264 players returned today including Eli Elezra (25,500), Mike Matusow (22,900), Perry Friedman (41,000), Barry Shulman (33,000), Mike Gorodinsky (47,300), Huck Seed (18,500), Maria Ho (47,100) and Norman Chad (35,200), but out of all these it was only Barry Shulman who progressed to the money as the day went on, and Shulman returns tomorrow with 181,000.
He, and the rest of the remaining players including Scotty Nguyen (121,000), James Obst (45,000), Eric Buchman (125,000), John Racener (65,000) and Vladimir Schemelev (145,000), will be chasing Brandon Paster, who leads the pack with a massive 385,000 stack and will look to continue that momentum into Day 3 as the tournament builds to its conclusion.
