Day 1B Comes to a Close

400 players showed up to the Palm Beach Kennel Club on Saturday morning to play Day 1B of the WSOP Circuit Palm Beach Kennel Club Main Event, which brings the total field size to 658. After 15, 40 minute levels of play, only 80 remained. Combine those with the 43 players who survived Day 1A and the tournament is left with just 123 players.

The Day 1B chip leader is Chad Eveslage with 259,000 chips. That puts him fifth in chips overall behind Jorgen Rasmussen, Jordan Cristos, Chris Hunichen, and Luke Graham, who were the top four chip stacks from day 1A.

Other notables who bagged a lot of chips on Day 1B include Aaron Massey, Raj Vohra, Matthew Mendez, and Will Souther. They ended the day with 141,000, 131,500, 131,000, and 128,000, respectively. Darryll Fish, Ryan D'Angelo, and Ronnie Bardah also made it through the day, but aren't near the top of the chip counts.

It wasn't sunshine and rainbows for everybody who played today thought. Loni Harwood, Stuart Paterson, Ari Engel, Tristan Wade, Andy Seth, Eric Blair, Brian Hastings, and John Dolan all played today's event and failed to make it to the end of the day. Some of those players had fired their second bullet of the tournament after busting Day 1A.

The remaining 123 players will be back at the Palm Beach Kennel Club on Sunday afternoon at 12 pm for the start of Day 2 with the goal of playing down to a final table of 9. The levels will be increased to 60 minutes and will start with blinds of 1,500/3,000 and a 500 ante.

Here are a look at the top 10 chip counts from Day 1B:

1. Chad Eveslage - 259,000
2. Joseph McKeehen - 204,000
3. Daniel Griggs - 203,500
4. Sterling Savill - 200,500
5. George Lampert - 194,000
6. Juha Puijola - 189,500
7. Peter Vitantonio - 184,500
8. Vincent Maglio - 183,500
9. Josias Santos - 183,500
10. Jeff Coutroulis - 168,000

There will be a complete list of chip counts for the tournament posted in the reports tab and prizepool information will be released in the morning. Check back with WSOP.com on Sunday as we inch closer to another Circuit champion.
