EVENT UPDATE

Saturday, July 29, 2023 9:01 AM Local Time
Day 1C of the Main Event Begins at 11am CT

Day 1C of the 2023/24 World Series of Poker Circuit - Choctaw Durant (Dallas/Oklahoma) Main Event is set to kick off on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. CT with $1,000,000 guaranteed in the prize pool.

This will be the third of three starting flights before those advancing combine for Day 2 this Sunday at 12pm CT.

Day 1A was dominated by Will Berry who ended the day with well over twice as many chips as any of the 21 players who survived an original field of 185 entries.

Day 1B was won handily by previous WSOP Circuit Ring winner Eric Bunch who survived with 44 other players out of the original 362 entries.

Among the chip leaders from Day 1A was Danny Marx who won the first Choctaw Circuit event of the 2022/23 season taking home a ring and $246,820. Five-time WSOP Gold Bracelet winner Scotty Nguyen was among those surviving Day 1B.

With temperatures expected to be over 100 degrees this weekend, the cozy confines of Choctaw Durant should entice a large field of entries for all three flights. In fact, the million dollar guarantee looks like a lock to be broken early on Day 1C.

Players will be allowed up to 1 re-entry per flight, worth a starting stack of 40k in chips.
