Steven Snyder Eliminated From Main, Still in Nightly
Steven Snyder was eliminated just after the dinner break, and he mistakenly believed the re-entry period had ended. With nothing else to do, he entered the $135 Nightly, was eliminated, and rebought a fresh stack for another $135.
About that time, the Main Event field was being sent on their final break of the evening after Level 12, and an announcement was made regarding the impending close of registration. Snyder abandoned his stack in the Nightly, bolted to the exit, took a taxi to snag some cash, and hustled back to the registration window to re-enter as one of the very last to sneak into the field before the break ended.
Snyder immediately doubled up to 40,000 in the new level, but his seat has since been vacated. He was back down around 20,000 when he took his final stand with pocket sevens, but Tony Bryant found pocket kings and a clean run-out to score the knockout.
Snyder won't be repeating as Champion of this Main Event, but his pursuit of the Nightly title remains; he's returned to his other stack on the far side of the room.
