William “Jeter” Brock Wins 2nd WSOP Circuit Ring in Tulsa

William "Jeter" Brock

Tulsa, Okla. (21 March 2017) — Just under two months ago, William “Jeter” Brock won his first World Series of Poker Circuit ring after more than 30 cashes. At the time, he described himself as a “serial min-casher,” joking about his history of failing to run deep in tournaments. But Brock is for sure no longer a serial min-casher, having won his second Circuit ring in under months.

Brock emerged victorious in Event #4: $365 No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout at the Hard Rock Tulsa, earning $14,586 for the win.

Brock has become a fixture on the Circuit in recent years, always recognizable by the University of Alabama clothes he wears at the tables. And in his poker career, the wisdom of the U of A football coach keeps him focused. When asked about how he moved from a “serial min-casher” to a serial ring winner, he said, “I hate to use to words of Coach Saban, but it’s the process. It’s not the results. You just your best, and sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn’t.”

The final day of the tournament was a short-lived affair, lasting just a little more than three hours. Over two of those hours involved four-handed play. But Brock won a big hand against then-chip leader Andrew Watson. Watson was eliminated soon after, and less than half an hour later Brock held all the chips.

The runner-up finisher was Joshua Evans, who won Event #3 here at the Hard Rock a couple days ago. Evans missed out won winning back-to-back rings, but this performance vaults him into the lead in the Casino Champion race. Evans now has 87.5 points, and no other player has more than 50.
