The first flight of the $365 no-limit hold'em is down to its final 60 players and they are bagging and tagging their chips for the night. The 60 survivors will return on Monday at 1 p.m. for Day 2.
Eight-time ring winner Valentin Vornicu bags the flight's chip lead with 408,000 in chips. He's the only player to cross the 400,000-chip threshold. Joining Vornicu at the top of the counts are Peter Chu (379,000), Diana Chen (304,000), and two-time ring winner Sean Yu (295,500).
Other notables to make it through the day include Danny Illingworth and Thomas Zanot. A complete list of the Day 1A chip counts will be posted in the reports tab above. There are still a few hours left of play in Day 1B before they get down to the final 42 players and bag up chips for the night.
