Day 1 Ends With 52 Players Remaining
It was a hectic day at the Rio with 780 individual players showing up to participate in the Monster Stack tournament. The tournament staff needed to use alternates to accommodate the big field. However, everyone that registered and wanted in on this big event was seated well before the close of registration.
Day 1 lasted 21 levels and finished with 52 players remaining. Finishing the day with the chip lead was Jacque Lavadour with 996,000 chips. Right behind Lavadour and second in chips to start Day 2 is three-time gold ring winner Steve Foutty with 750,000 chips.
Tomorrow's winner will earn $46,803, a WSOP Circuit gold ring and 50 Casino Championship points. Everyone remaining is guaranteed a payout of at least $758. The complete payout structure can be found above under the "Prizepool" tab.
