David Nowakowski Leads Into Day 3

Double WSOP Bracelet Winner Marco Johnson

David Nowakowski took a commanding chiplead late in Day 2 when he eliminated Jordan Siegel (18th) and Kyle Montgomery (17th) on the same hand. He rivered the nut flush on a board with no low and scooped a pot that put him well over 1,000,000. He finished with 1,203,000 and is trailed significantly by Timothy Vukson with the next closest stack at 721,000.

Marco Johnson was one of the bigger stacks throughout the day, but stalled out and finished the day with 447,000. He is the only player remaining in the field who has won a WSOP gold bracelet. Johnson enters Day 3 fourth in chips and will be looking to earn his second bracelet of the summer, after winning the $3,000 H.O.R.S.E. tournament.

Mike Matusow, Phil Laak, Bill Gazes, and Adam Owen all made Day 2 and the money but failed to make it through to Day 3. For more details see the Results tab above.

Play resumes Tuesday at 2 p.m. whee the field will play until a new bracelet winner is crowned. Be sure to follow all of the action here on WSOP.com.
