The Official WSOP Photo BlogSelect Year:
Theo Tran After a deep run in last year's WSOP Main Event (finishing 125th), Theo Tran had a similar run this year, eventually finishing in 105th place on Day 6. The Year of Team Mizrachi Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi anchors ESPN's featured table on Day 6 of the WSOP Main Event as the field plays their way into the top 100. Mizrachi is the only player left in the field who can catch Player of the Year leader Frank Kassela, but it'll take a victory to do it. But regardless of his finish in this event, Michael Mizrachi has already become one of the defining players of the 2010 WSOP. Last Woman Standing Breeze Zuckerman At the end of Day 5 with 205 players remaining, Breeze Zuckerman is the last female left in the WSOP Main Event. The website Wicked Chops Poker presented Zuckerman with their annual "Last Woman Standing" trophy, and then Zuckerman was interviewed by various media outlets. Scott Clements and Russell Rosenblum Finish Day 5 Scott Clements (left) recaps the details of a hand to Russell Rosenblum at the end of Day 5 of the WSOP Main Event. Rosenblum survived the day with the shortest stack (152,000, worth 9 big blinds), while Clements finished much better (1,535,000, worth 95 big blinds). Day 5 Chipleader Evan Lamprea At the end of Day 5 of the WSOP Main Event, Evan Lamprea is the chipleader with 3,564,000 -- more than three times the average stack and worth 222 big blinds. Michael Mizrachi Continues His Grinding Ways Michael Mizrachi (seated, left) is known as The Grinder, but not because he's a tight player grinding out min-cashes. To the Mizrachi's, Grinder means a never-give-up attitude that just keeps going and going and going. While his brothers Donny and Eric watch from the rail with his wife Lily, Michael continues grinding his way through Day 5 of the WSOP Main Event. Eric 'Basebaldy' Baldwin Scans the Field Eric Baldwin (left, standing) won his first WSOP bracelet and Card Player's 2009 Player of the Year award last year. But so far in 2010, Baldwin (known online as "Basebaldy") has been doing even better, already racking up more than $1.1 million in live tournaments and making a deep run on Day 5 of the WSOP Main Event. Swedish Pro William Thorson William Thorson, a professional poker player from Sweden with more than $2.4 million in live tournament earnings, survives Day 5 with an above-average stack of 1.6 million in chips. Deja Vu For Matt Affleck In last year's WSOP Main Event, Matt Affleck was the chipleader about this point in the tournament, only to fall short of his goal and bust out in 80th place. This year, Affleck finds himself in a similar situation, near the chip lead on Day 5. But this time, Affleck hopes to improve on last year's finish and reach the November Nine. Phil Galfond and Jimmy Tran at the TV Table Phil Galfond (left) and Jimmy Tran are two of the notable players at ESPN's featured table on Day 5 of the WSOP Main Event. Galfond is one of the most respected online players in the world, known by his screenname "OMGClayAiken," and won a WSOP bracelet in 2008. Tran is a professional poker player with more than $1.5 million in live tournament earnings. There are 1400 entries in the photo blog.
