Erik Seidel Before His Induction

A member of the poker media caught up with Erik Seidel moments before his Hall of Fame induction to ask him a few questions. This year the ballot was voted on by a 33-member panel of Hall of Famers and selected media. The top 10 finalists were narrowed down to 2 inductees. Erik will be inducted into the class of 2010 with his good friend Dan Harrington.

The Bling And The Cha-Ching

This why we're here! On Monday night at 8PM PST we'll start the heads up battle for the WSOP World Championship of No-Limit Hold'Em. The winner will walk away with the WSOP Championship bracelet, over $8.9 Million and all the bragging rights in the world. The 2nd place finisher takes home a cool $5.5 Million. Jonathan Duhamel from Boucherville, Canada (just outside Montreal) has a HUGE chip lead over John Racener from Florida. (188M vs 30M respectively). At the media press conference held at the Rio on Sunday afternoon. Racener says his strategy will be to try and double up quickly to give himself a fighting chance. Should be a good battle. Stay on WSOP.com for all the breaking news!

Duhamel Has Hair?

In a rare sighting, our undercover photographers managed to snap off a shot of Jonathan Duhamel out of "uniform". This is almost as rare as spotting Sasquatch in the woods. Duhamel is known for wearing his hoodie over his head at the poker table. He says it helps him blind out his peripheral views to keep him focused, and looking ahead.

Big Pot For Duhamel

Jonathan Dumahel just won a monster pot (biggest in WSOP history) and put Joseph Cheong's Final Table life in jeopardy. This photo is so great because of all the mixed emotions. If you look on the left you see the cheers for Team Duhamel. On the right, you see a couple Racener fans ecstatic that their horse went up another pay scale and made it that much closer to the bracelet. And lastly, you see the security officer on the bottom right who was probably a Cheong fan.

Mizrachi Out. Media Swarms

The vocal and energetic Team Mizrachi fans were muted on Saturday night when their "Grinder" was eliminated from the Final Table in 5th place. It was widely known that a majority of the poker community and prognosticators backed Mirzachi for the Championship. He had a significant contignent on hand at the Rio mostly comprised of family, friends and celebrity poker pros.
