Vamoooo Brasil!!!!! Andre Akkari acknowledges his massive rail of fans from his home country of Brazil after he doubles up at the final table of the $1,500 No-Limit Hold 'em event. Never Enough Poker... While playing next to each other in the $10,000 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold 'em event, former Main Event Champion Carlos Mortensen pays off Phil Laak for a hand of poker they just finished on Laak's iPad. A Packed Arena The featured table stage is nearly filled to capacity for the final table of the $1,500 No-Limit Hold 'em event currently running. Big Names Running Deep With only 86 players remaining in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold 'em event, both Antonio Esfandiari and Phil Hellmuth are near the top of the chip counts. New Player of the Year Leader Ben Lamb finished second in the $3,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event earlier in the summer and followed that up by winning the bracelet today in the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship. With his victory, Lamb takes the lead in the 2011 WSOP Player of the Year standings. Friends Off the Felt In today's $1,000 No-Limit Hold 'em event, Joe Tehan (left) and John Kim found themselves seated next to each other. Normally not a big deal except that Tehan and Kim are best friends away from the poker table. Shenanigans! Tom Dwan and Antonio Esfandiari (foreground) laugh it up as they pay the rail bird they are speaking with $100 each to walk up to Phil Hellmuth and give him a shoulder massage during the $1,000 NLHE event. The fan pulled it off and Hellmuth seemed to get a kick out of the prank! The Jersey Returns Despite having paid off his hockey jersey bet, 2010 Main Event champ Jonathan Duhamel sported it one more time. He wore it to Matt Jarvis's final table and Matt took a moment to pose with his friend. Matt would go on the win the $5,000 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold 'em event and his first gold bracelet! Nice Draw Before Daniel Negreanu was eliminated from the $2,500 Razz, he let us sweat his hole cards on his final hand. Not Low Enough Daniel Negreanu made a 7-6 on the last card in the $2,500 Razz event when he was all in. Unfortunately, his opponent drew better and Negreanu was eliminated from the event late in the night. There are 1400 entries in the photo blog.
