Gavin Leads the $1,500 NLHE While Day 1A of the Main Event is running, Day 3 of the $1,500 No-Limit Hold 'em event got back underway. Gavin Smith led the field going into today's action and looks to add his second gold bracelet. A Better View for the Fans After giving the "Shuffle Up and Deal" at the start of Day 1A of the WSOP Main Event, Doyle Brunson's table was placed on the ESPN feature table for fans to be able to come watch the Godfather of Poker. Love of the Game Michael Stevens was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy when he was just one-year old and lost the use of his hands and arms during his senior year of high school. His friend, Mike Buttice, made him a promise to get him to Vegas for the WSOP someday. When Buttice won a satellite to the Main Event, he gave the seat to Stevens. Stevens, Buttice and Dave Hughes made the 30-hour drive from Indiana to Las Vegas and Stevens takes his seat at the Main Event today. Here, Hughes helps Stevens check his hole cards during a pot early on Day 1A. SERENITY NOW!!! Actor Jason Alexander wasn't all serious. He took a second to give us a wink in between hands. Tournament Director Jack Effel introduces Doyle Brunson to the huge crowd in the Amazon Room. Brunson gave the "Shuffle Up and Deal" and the 2011 World Series of Poker Championship Main Event got underway! Could This Be #12? With only six players remaining, Phil Hellmuth is looking to make the $50,000 Poker Player's Championship gold bracelet his 12th overall at the World Series of Poker. Hellmuth Making a Run at POY With the elimination of Ben Lamb in 8th place, Phil Hellmuth is looking to take over the top spot in the 2011 WSOP Player of the Year standings. Hellmuth is currently the chip leader at the $50,000 Player's Championship final table with six remaining. $50,000 Player's Championship Final Table The players at the final table of the $50,000 Poker Player's Championship are back at the main stage as it is being taped by ESPN for broadcast. Lon and Norman are Back! Lon McEachern and Norman Chad are back at the WSOP and were seen taping a spot before the start of the $50,000 Player's Championship final table.
