Card Down!

As we were walking through the Amazon Room, a card accidentally flew off a table and landed at our feet. It gave us a chance to show you the official Bicycle card of the 2011 WSOP.

Maridu In Action

A Special Start to Day 2A

WSOP Tournament Director Jack Effel and 2010 Main Event Champion Jonathan Duhamel join Michael Stevens and his friends Dave Hughes and Mike Buttice on stage to give the Day 2A Shuffle Up and Deal announcement. Stevens, who was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at the age of one, made it to Day 2A and offered Duhamel a last longer bet. The champ declined, stating that he would be drawing dead.

And the Magic Number Is...

6,865! That is number of entrants in the 2011 WSOP Main Event. Here Tournament Director Jack Effel announces the number to the crowd just moments before dinner break. The final 693 spots cash with first place paying $8,711,956.

Chip and a Really Really Nice Chair

Tommy Vedes apparently plans on being in the Main Event for quite some time because he brought his own chair. Not just any chair, but a high-end leather office chair.
