Last Champion Down The last WSOP Main Event Champion standing in the 2011 Main Event was Robert Varkonyi. However, Varkonyi was eliminated in the last level, meaning we will have a new champion this year at the WSOP. Chip and a Chair Brian Zeid was down to his last 1,000 chips with the blinds at 3,000-6,000 and a 1,000 ante. Amazingly, he has worked his way back up to nearly 130,000 in chips. One Last Tweet Dennis Phillips takes a second to send out his bust out tweet while an ESPN camera crew films after being eliminated from the 2011 Main Event. The Bubble Bursts! The final 693 players in the 2011 WSOP Main Event celebrate as the money bubble bursts, guaranteeing all players at least $19,359. Big Day for Berry Berry Johnston, winner of the 1986 WSOP Main Event, has cashed in a record 29 straight WSOPs. However, he has yet to cash this summer. Johnston is still alive as we approach the money bubble in the Main Event. He also holds the record for the most Main Event cashes ever with ten. Quads Near the Bubble We happened to walk up on a hand as we approach the money bubble on Day 4. His opponent's hand was already mucked but his quad aces were good for a double up. Late Night Double for Bardah Ronnie Bardah catches aces on the last hand of the night to double up on Day 3 of the WSOP Main Event. Chips Chips Everywhere With players getting knocked out quickly, chip stacks are starting to grow throughout the room. The black 100 chips will be coming out of play at the end of the day.
