Deja Vu Fabrice Soulier won the $10,000 HORSE Championship last year and he is once again in pole position. Soulier finished Day 1 of this year's $10,000 HORSE tournament as chip leader. Cherish Those Chips Earlier this summer, Amanda Musumeci made a deep run in a large field $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Event. This time it might be Cherish Andrews' turn to shine. She is leading the field after Day 1 in Event 31. Cantu Attitude When Brandon Cantu is in a poker tournament, there is a good chance he is the chip leader. Cantu's aggressive style is paying off in the $1,500 No-Limit Deuce-to-Seven Event. He has been busting a number of players, including Leo Margets (left), to amass a chip lead with just three tables left. In the Driver's Seat Brendon Rubie began the final table of the $2,500 Four-Handed No-Limit Hold'em Event with 45% of the chips in play. Rubie stayed aggressive and tried to make that big stack bigger, but his opponent's caught up him once play got three-handed between Rubie, Timothy Adams, and bracelet winner James Scaarf. Ylon-g Time Coming Ylon Schwartz, a 2008 November Nine captures his 1st WSOP Gold Bracelet in WSOP Event#27, the $1500 H.O.R.S.E. event. With the victory, Schwartz becomes the 6th former November Niner to capture gold (not counting the eventual Main Event winners). WHAT YOU SEE IS NOT WHAT YOU GET Hal Lubarsky (seated) is legally blind, so he is allowed assistance from a reader to tell him his hole cards and the community cards. Hal went deep in the 2007 Main Event (197th place) and final tabled an event last year. He was eliminated on Day 1 of the Seniors event. Stalemate For the second time this summer, a final table hit the hard stop. The star-studded trio of British poker pro Stephen Chidwick, four-time bracelet winner David Chiu, and former November Niner Ylon Schwartz will be back in action Saturday to play down to a champion.
