The Official WSOP Photo BlogSelect Year:
A Perfect Ten With her deep run in the $3,000 No Limit Hold'em event, Jackie Glazier became the tenth woman to make a WSOP final table this summer. That is twice as many women as 2011. Glazier also joins the ranks of Allyn Jaffrey Shulman ($603,713), Amanda Musumeci ($481,643), and Vanessa Selbst ($161,345)as women who have brought in six-figure WSOP scores this year. Two for the Good Guys Ronnie Bardah and Chris Tryba have been friends a long time. Today, they shared an incredible moment together as they both were presented with their gold bracelets. Bardah earned his for the $2,500 Six-Max Limit Hold'em while Tryba won the $2,500 Mixed Hold'em. The Return of the Champ 2011 Main Event Champion Pius Heinz is back at the World Series of Poker. Here he is placing a bet early on Day 2 of the $1,500 No-Limit Hold 'em. Heinz and the rest of the field are nearing the money bubble. Two Sides to Every Story Andrew Brown (right) can only throw up his hands in disbelief as Jan-Peter Jachtmann (left) cracks his set of queens by spiking a straight on the river in the final hand of Event #39 ($10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha). Brown, who won an Omaha bracelet during the 2008 WSOP, would have had a huge chip lead if his hand held up, but it's Jachtmann's turn to celebrate as he wins his first WSOP bracelet. Hug It Out Surrounded by one of the largest rails of the summer, East Coast grinder Ronnie Bardah (center) played his way to a gold bracelet, defeating Marco Johnson heads-up in the $2,500 Six-Handed Limit Hold'em Event. Maybe the Mayans Were Right Strange and bizarre occurrences are said to coincide with Mayans prediction of the end of the world this year. Perhaps they were more right than they know, as Norman Chad is the chip leader in the $2,500 Omaha/7-Stud Hi/Lo event. No Laughing Matter Jason Mercier was all smiles at the beginning of the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha final table. Mercier was going for his third bracelet but fell short as he was eliminated in 8th place for $72,132. Comeback Kid? Ronnie Bardah came into the final day of the $2,500 Six-Max Limit Hold 'em event as the shortest stack. However, just one elimination from the final table, Bardah is now second in chips and looking for his first bracelet. 1,400 Starting Stacks At the final table of the $1,500 No-Limit Hold 'em event, Dung Nguyen sits on a chip stack of nearly 6,300,000. In other words, he now has the equivalent of over half the 2,534-player field's starting stacks. Stand by Your Man Maile Patterson watches on as her husband, Tyler, goes for his first WSOP Gold Bracelet at the $1,500 No-Limit Hold 'em final table. There are 1400 entries in the photo blog.
