The Official WSOP Photo BlogSelect Year:
Together Again The summer of Phil continues as both Phil Ivey (left) and Phil Hellmuth are seated together on Day 2 of the Big One for One Drop. Durrrr Exits Tom Dwan does a quick exit interview after being eliminated early on Day 2 of the Big One for One Drop. One Time In a three-way all-in, Daniel Negreanu tries to use his one time while Tom Dwan (left) looks on. Unfortunately, the dealer did not oblige and both Negreanu and Dwan were eliminated from the Big One for One Drop at the hands of Mikhail Smirnov. A Broken Record It feels a little like a broken record to say that Vanessa Selbst has won another tournament. This time her win in the $2,500 10 Game event broke a record too. The win marks a five-year drought of female bracelet winners in fully open events that dates back to none other than Vanessa Selbst's vicotry in a Pot Limit Omaha event back in 2008. If You're Happy and You Know It As Peter Vilandos explains, "Happy cards go to happy people. And, I'm happy." You'd be happy too if you just won your third gold bracelet. Vilandos continued his string of WSOP success by winning the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em Event for over $950,000. Vilandos won his first bracelet back in 1995, then won his second gold bracelet in a No-Limit Hold'em event in 2009. Norman is Back ESPN announcer Norman Chad has been scouting the action here in the Big One for One Drop tonight. Here, he checks in on Gus Hansen while the Great Dane is involved in a pot. The Best of the Best Some of the top players in the world are in today's Big One for One Drop event. Two of them, Phil Ivey (left) and Erik Seidel, find themselves seated next to each other. In Like a Lamb 2011 WSOP Player of the Year Ben Lamb is among those who put up the $1,000,000 buy-in for the Big One for One Drop event today at the Rio. I Think You Dropped Something Perhaps Gus Hansen's mind is so squarely focused on winning over $18 million that he is too preoccupied to care about a brick of cash amounting to the paltry sum of $50,000. Center Court While five of the six starting tables in the Big One for One Drop event are housed in the Tan section of the Amazon Room, one table gets to play under the lights of the ESPN stage. Spectators got a glimpse at all the lights and effects we'll see at Tuesday's final table. It is only fitting that the man holding court at center court is none other than the driving force behind this charitable event, Mr. Guy Laliberte. There are 1400 entries in the photo blog.
