The Circuit Leader WSOP Circuit points leader and Bossier City Main Event Champion David Nicholson takes his seat at the WSOP National Championship event. Just across the table from him, pros Matt Glantz and Christian Harder chat. Tears of Joy Gregory Merson may be moved to tears, but it is for the best reason possible. The young poker pro was overcome with emotion after winning the $10,000 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em Championship and one of the biggest paydays of the summer worth over $1 million. Both players qualified to buy into the event for $10,000 based on their results in the past two WSOP years. Chan is Back Last night in the $10,000 2-7 No-Limit Single Draw event, the legendary Johnny Chan made his first appearance at the 2012 WSOP. The two-time Main Event Champion did not survive to Day 2 though. Fun in the Deuce to Seven One tournament that many players say they look forward to every year is the $10,000 2-7 No-Limit Single Draw event. It looks as though Erik Seidel is already having a good time today. A Shorr Thing Shannon Shorr is making his fourth cash of the summer really count with a final table appearance in the $10k No-Limit Hold'em Six-Handed event. You can't see through the shades, but he has his sights set on his first gold bracelet. A Bracelet of His Own Tony Hachem is nearing the final table of the $10,000 Six-Handed No-Limit event and is looking for his first WSOP gold bracelet.
