Sam Farha and the Bracelet Sam Farha is one player away from his third WSOP bracelet in Event #25 ($10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo). Both of Farha's other bracelets came in Omaha events as well. Dempsey's Friends Continue to Cheer Late Into the Night James "Flushy" Dempsey has some dedicated friends. Even as the clock passes 4:00 am, they continue to support Dempsey with loud, coordinated cheers between hands. One of their favorite cheers was "He's a doctor! He's a doctor!" For the record, Dempsey is not a doctor, and does not have a Ph.D., but his friends sometimes call him "Doctor Demps." James Dempsey and the Bracelet With two players left in Event #25 ($10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo), the bracelet is placed on the table to remind the players of what's at stake. For the past 10 years, at least one player has won multiple bracelets in the same WSOP -- Dempsey is trying to become the first to do it in 2010. Sam Farha Makes a High and a Low As the night drags on past 3:00 am for the final table of Event #25 ($10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo), Sam Farha makes both a high hand and a qualifying low with his Ah-Ks-Jh-8h. It was only worth half the pot, however, which is one reason why this final table was the longest of the WSOP so far. ESPN on the Scene While Event #25 ($10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo) isn't a televised event, a two-man crew was taping the heads-up action for ESPN with potential history on the line -- either the third WSOP bracelet of Farha's career, or Dempsey's second of the Series. The Crowd is in Dempsey's Favor While Sam Farha is a favorite of poker fans around the world, the fans in the crowd were heavily weighted in favor of James "Flushy" Dempsey. Dempsey is one of three British players to win bracelets so far this WSOP, and he's trying to add one more to his country's total. Sam Farha Takes the Lead Into Heads-Up Play When heads-up play begins in Event #25 ($10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo), Sam Farha (right) has a slight lead over James "Flushy" Dempsey. Farha is going for the third Omaha bracelet of his career, while Dempsey is going for his second bracelet in 10 days. Yueqi "Rich" Zhu This was the fifth WSOP final table for Yueqi "Rich" Zhu since 2006, but he wasn't able to capture his first WSOP bracelet. Zhu finished third in Event #25 ($10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo), earning $225,325. James Dempsey Assess the Situation James "Flushy" Dempsey stands up as he assesses the situation with three players remaining in Event #25 ($10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo). James Dempsey Watches From the Bleachers James Dempsey (standing) walks over to his friends in the bleachers to watch a hand involving Sergey Altbregin (right). With Altbregin's elimination in fourth place, Dempsey was one spot away from taking the lead in the WSOP Player of the Year race, and two spots away from winning his second WSOP bracelet of the Series.
