The third of four starting flights is now in the books as an estimated 950 players have bagged up their chips and advanced to Sunday's Day 2 session.
Of those surviving players, it looks like Steven Geralis will end this Day 1C flight as the chip leader, as he's one of the only players over near the 150,000 chip mark.
Also near the top of the leaderboard are Simon Deadman, who is right under Geralis and Josh Hale, who is near the century mark.
In total, well over 6,000 players registered for this flight, with an official number of total entrants and surviving players being provided later today.
For those players that failed to bag chips, a piece of the $5,000,000 guaranteed 'The Colossus' prize pool is still attainable, as the final straight flight is set to begin at 7 PM.
It should be noted that that $5,000,000 number is likely to be crushed, with the prize pool being finalized after tonight's Day 1D flight.

"Sorry to disappoint." his opponent mumbles under his breath as Csik takes in the pot, after what hoped to be an action packed hand turned out to be nothing to really report.

In Las Vegas, "paradise" isn't hard to find. In fact, it might be at every corner on the strip.
In the 5,000 person Day 1C 'The Colossus' field though, Fred Paradis might be hard to find. That was, until he got seated right in front of the Brasilia media table.
While Paradis has had some moderate success in past WSOP events, he's made the majority of his $500,000 lifetime earnings in Foxwoods events.
In total, he has five Foxwoods poker titles, making him the winningest player in the Connecticut poker room's history.
Can he translate that success to a deep run in the biggest World Series of Poker event of the summer? Only time will tell but he's putting himself in a good position, as he's currently playing just over 25,000.
