Dear Media Member:
The 41st edition of the World Series of Poker – our 40th Anniversary -- is set to run from May 27 to July 17, 2010 at the Rio® All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in what will be our largest footprint ever for the event.
We hope you will be able to join us this year to report on the many storylines sure to unfold at the richest tournament in all of sports – the 2010 World Series of Poker, featuring 57 gold bracelet events – equal to last year.
The deadline to apply for media credentials for the WSOP is May 1, 2010.
The WSOP Main Event will commence on July 5, 2010, and with four starting days from July 5-8, will set the November Nine on July 17, 2010.
Our media footprint will change this year – as our Media Center will now be located next to the main tournament registration area, in the Palma Ballroom, which is directly across from the player entrance to the famed Amazon Room.
The successful “Press Box” area on the floor of the Amazon tournament room returns this year – and in fact, due to its popularity and demand – a second Press Box will be erected as well to accommodate more media. The Amazon Room will host all the re-start bracelet events and final tables, as well as some of the 5 PM bigger buy-in events. These media seats come equipped with power and are offered daily on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Wireless Internet access will be provided free of charge to the media and will be offered in the media center and press box locations only.

Please review this year’s guidelines carefully – before filling out your credential application – to ensure you are fully briefed and aware of the rules because granting of a credential is predicated on adhering to the media guidelines. If there are any issues, they must be addressed prior to your arrival at the event.
Note: Photo credentials will be utilized again this year. Each member of the media must submit a digital headshot with their application. It is important you upload a photo in jpeg format and saved as LAST NAME then FIRST NAME. Example: PalanskySeth.jpg
