Harrah's New Orleans is the final stop in the WSOP 2018-2019 Circuit Season
New Orleans, Louisiana (7 May 2019) The final stop of the 2018-2019 World Series of Poker Circuit season begins in just two days on May 9th. The 12-day series features 13 official ring events, with one last chance to make a push for a seat into the 2019 Global Casino Championship later this summer. The schedule features the $250 multi-flight event with $250,000 guaranteed in the prize pool, along with the Monster Stack ($100,000 guaranteed), a $1,125 ring event ($100,000 guaranteed) for a bigger buy-in to contend for along with a $600 Pot-Limit Omaha event for some variety!
The $1,700 Main Event runs from May 17th through May 20th, featuring two starting flights and $750,000 guaranteed in the prize pool! Each player may enter twice per starting flight, for a total of four shots at making Day 2 on May 19th. The final day will conclude on May 20th and play down to a winner. As always, the winner of the Main Event will earn themselves a coveted WSOP Circuit ring along with a seat into the 2019 Global Casino Championship. Last year's Main Event champion was Jerry Monroe. He topped a field of 677 entries for a prize pool of $1,015,500. Monroe pocketed $208,184 for the win.
There is also a Casino Champion Race, where the player with the most Circuit points during this specific stop will earn their way into the 2019 Global Casino Championship. Points update overnight each day, and the standings will be posted on this page and via the Leaderboard.
In addition to 13 official ring events, there will be three unofficial ring events throughout the series. The schedule features two $250 Seniors Events, along with a $250 Ladies Event. Satellites will run on a daily basis, along with the Daily Nightly tournaments in the evenings.
