Horseshoe Council Bluffs Circuit kicks off Thursday with two ring events.

Council Bluffs, Wis. (March 26, 2019) -- The 2018/19 World Series of Poker Circuit tour is on the home stretch after completing 24 of the 29 Circuit series thus far with the conclusion of the Hard Rock Tulsa stop yesterday. The Bally's Las Vegas Circuit is currently running and coming soon is twenty-sixth series on the schedule, Horseshoe Council Bluffs.

In total, 13 gold ring events will be held throughout a 12-days at the Omaha/Iowa Circuit stop. Thursday, March 38th marks the first day of the series and kicks things off at 12:00 p.m. with Event#1: $250 No-Limit Hold'em. Later the same day, at 5:00 p.m., Event #2: $400 No-Limit Hold'em Bounty makes way. Both tournaments are scheduled as two-day competitions.

Then, highlighting the first weekend at Horseshoe Council Bluffs will be the multi-flight ring event, which features four starting legs and unlimited re-entry. Last year, the multi-flight generated nearly 500 entries and $150,000 in prizepool money.

The following, and final, weekend of the Circuit brings forth the Horseshoe Council Bluffs Main Event. David Davenport was the player to top the Main Event at the previous Council Bluffs Circuit, winning $97,754 and his first WSOP gold ring.

The winner of the Main Event and the Casino Champion will earn a seat to the 2019 Global Casino Championship. There they will compete for a minimum $1 million prizepool, as well as a prestigious gold bracelet. To become the Casino Champion a player must earn the most points at a given Circuit stop. Players earn points based on how well they finish in a tournament. More information on the Global Casino Championship leaderboard can be found on WSOP.com.
