Brazil Announces first-ever South American Stop for World Series of Poker

WSOP Circuit Brazil Runs from October 26 to November 2 in São Paulo

 

WSOP Circuit Brazil is delighted to announce the Brazilian schedule of the famed tournament World Series of Poker, hosted for the first time in South America right here in Brazil. WSOP Circuit Brazil will be in São Paulo, in the Transamerica Expo Center, from October 26th to November 2nd. The schedule is available to follow on the official website at http://www.wsop.com/2016/circuit/international/.

According to the schedule, several tournaments will occur during the 8 day festival, among them, 14 tournaments disputing the prestigious WSOP Circuit ring. The latest edition of the WSOP Las Vegas (47th), the event reached the best mark with 107,833 players, 107 different countries and more than $221 million in prize money awarded. Brazil was well represented with 970 participants at the WSOP in Las Vegas this year.

The major highlight in the schedule is the Main Event, with buy-in of 3.950,00 (BRL) that already guarantee millionaires prizes, but the the amount has not yet been revealed by WSOP Circuit Brazil organization.

How to get to Transamerica Expo Center, São Paulo, Brazil

By air: There are direct flights from all Brazilian states to São Paulo (Congonhas Airport). For international flights, airport of destination must be GRU (Guarulhos Airport), about 50km for the event. Some airline companies offer free transport from Guarulhos to Congonhas, and there you can pick a Taxi/Uber to go for Transamerica (Congonhas x WSOP Brazil about 10km).

By car from Guarulhos airport: About 50km until Transamerica Expo Center. Via BR-116 / Rodovia Airton Senna / Marginal Tietê / Marginal Pinheiros / Nações Unidas / Transamerica Expo Center.
