Vojtech Ruzicka is one of three Europeans at the 2016 Main Event final table. Ruzicka is from Prague, Czech Republic and is the first Czech November Niner since Martin Staszko in 2011. Ruzicka is a professional poker player with more than $1 million in live tournament earnings. Prior to this year’s Main Event cash, Ruzicka’s largest career cash came in 2013 when he won the €10,000 EPT Deauville High Roller for €313,000. Ruzicka has 17 WSOP cashes and has cashed at least one time at each WSOP since 2011. His best WSOP cash was in 2015 when he finished 7th in a $1,500 Bounty No-Limit Hold’em event for $42,228.

Road to the Final Table:

Ruzicka got off to a strong start finishing Flight B 12th out of 1,301 survivors and more than tripling his starting stack of 50,000 chips. Ruzicka bagged above average stacks on Days 2 and 3, but then fell below the average when he bagged on Day 4. He bounced back to bag slightly above average on Day 5 and then turned up the pressure on Day 6.

On Day 6 Ruzicka built up a huge stack and knocked out several players in the process.

After Peterman’s exit in 28th place, Day 6 was complete and Ruzicka was the chip leader with 26,415,000 chips. Ruzicka’s stack didn’t move much on Day 7 and he bagged 27,300,000 chips and fell to sixth position.

Final Table Position:

Ruzicka has 27,300,000 chips (54 bbs) and is in sixth place headed to the final table. On his right is Griffin Benger with 26,175,000 chips (52 bbs) and on his left is the short stack, Fernando Pons with 6,150,000 chips (12 bbs).
